Now I know some of you guys are going to moan at me with this whole HID thing but this is just the start of my plans.

But anyway recently supplied with some HIDS from trups. Top service as usual. Been purchasing many many items from him.
The beam is not scattered else would hamve returned them. Very good quality item as usual. Went for th 6k.

However plan to make them even better by retrofitting projectors which are to be supplied by trups. Will keep you posted.

Looks well lad I have the same set up as you but I went for 5000k. Are yours like aqua blue?

Really want to get the projectors in mine too

Sp after about 16 hours.. its been a tough job! I've loved it hated it. ..blood sweat and beer went into this! but I'm done....For now...still need to trim the shroud a bit and also need to straighten out the drivers side slightly but for now I'm leaving it...I've had enough of it right now. I melted one lense putting it in the oven...so right now it will do. There is no glare it is dipped it is not high enough for it to blind on coming drivers.

Hardest part of this was getting the reflectors off!! There is a screw holding it on...and in front of the screw molded plastic so had to snap it off by moving it up and down for ages!
I must admit I am very happy

they look fantastic mate, really cant wait to get mine done. It literally does make the car look higher spec.

This task looks a bit too rich for me so i'd say i'll be getting Trups to do mine

Are your hids 5000k or 6000k?

Hi trups,

How much is the projector kit and how much if I want you to fit it for me please ?

Do they stay as dip all the time or do they go to main beam with the normal main beam lights?

They will goto main beam along with the normal main beam lights. Thats what the bit of soldering was I presume. The solenoid wires from the projectors are connected across the bulb feed for the main beam. So when main beam is selected the shutter that provides the beam cut off pattern is moved out of the way.
Looking into this think I may have a go at modifying my lights.
Slightly concerned about the beam pattern though when it comes to the MOT, doesn't seem to have the kick to the nearside that a traditional beam has, just seems to lift a little. Probably not quite as good for lighting up sign posts at the side of the road.

Karl.

Looks ace! I'm sending my lights off for Trups to fit projectors for me! Can't wait to see the difference.
