On my way home from the dealership in my new car and bam! The bus comes, I try to get over and ack, I kerb the front left alloy slightly, so annoyed! Anyone know of any good alloy wheel restoration service? Gonna have to get it sorted, I mean it's not too bad, just annoyed it's happened on my way home for the first time in my new car!

Gratz on new car, damn on new damage - I just got about 3 stone chips on one wheel after a few months and gutted you must be well peeved!

Get photos up as it will be interesting to see Mythos in pics.

This thread raises and interesting point - when I ordered my car, the sales agent tried to sell me wheel, tyre and gap insurance at a good rate. I asked if the wheel insurance actually covered the standard S3 alloy wheel, as I thought they were diamond finished (or similar). after a bit of discussion with other sales agents, he said that he didn't think they were covered, so couldn't extend the insurance to me.


Anyone else got any views on this? I'd particularity like to know if anybody has taken out the insurance - and made a claim for the repair. The wheels in question are the 18" x 7.5J ‘5-twin-spoke “Star”’ design anthracite, partly polished alloy wheels.

You might get an email from your dealer saying your not to late to take out alloy wheel protection. So why not wait to see how much it comes in at. Compaired to getting 2 alloys done. As if you get one done on one side. Your going to need to get the other to get the match.
