I really need help on this, anyone got pictures comparing the two? Or in general what do you preffur? I'm not too sure if amalfi is too cream for me..

For me it wasnt really a choice as metallic paint didnt fit the budget, but the Glacier is really really white which I'm not too fond of anymore.

The dealer showed me several Amalfi white cars and I really like the colour, it is creamy which makes it stand out. It reminds me of the Integra Type-R which I could never afford

If you're spec'ing up a car on a budget, the first thing you should do is choose the colour you want. Colour should not be a sacrifice because you spec'd in too many options for your budget. Think about it... you're going to have to live with that colour of car everyday for a couple of years or more.

Also, if you ignore the fact that metallic paint is £595, if people had the choice the majority would choose Glacier White over Amalfi.

Definitely Glacier White. Amalfi isn't pure white and more of a cream that I'm not as keen on personally. There are a lot of white cars out there these days, including one of mine, but if I was going for white, it would have to be Glacier.

I thought long and hard about what colour to get my S3 after having an Amalfi white A1 - really I wanted a change. The Mrs choose the A1 colour so was my turn. To be fair to the Amalfi it had been hard wearing and almost two tone in certain light conditions (cream or flat white). Everyone seems to like the colour on mine and just because you spend £595 on paint doesn't actually mean you are getting anything superior.

Went with it again as after seeing Glacier - thought it was a bit bland. Really you need to see them both side by side with your eyes - don't be persuaded by views on a forum......

Here's some pics of mine as requested:-

Good luck with your decision :)

Like you I was torn between Amalfi and Glacier.

They're both great colours. I preferred the slight creaminess of the Amalfi to the plastic look of the Glacier so I would still have gone for Amalfi even if the Glacier didn't cost extra.

If you compare my picture below to Pulp84's above you can see the difference in shades that you get depending on the light. Mine looks a lot whiter in the photo below, yet it often looks a lot creamier especially when parked next to Glacier.

The fact that we saved £600 is a bonus.

The Golf is quite similar to Glacier.

Thanks leosayer1 - good picture

well if you can wait 3 months I can show you the differences side to side :p
I've ordered an Amalfi S-line and my manager ordered a Glacier E-tron

Glacier white is a very Ice white - almafi being more cream - the glacier white looks good with the xenons and privacy glass in my opinion ! I love it.

I think I might go down to the show room one day soon, need to see for myself, as camera's don't always pick up the true colour. I have seen a few Glacier's and think it looks too pale, then I seen another one and thought it looked nice... I seen a few Amalfi's, and thought it looked too creamy, then other times liked it.

Damn i'm awkward. I think i'll be choosing Amalfi unless I have massive hatred for it. I do like the red, but not sure if it looks good on audi's unless they are a S3 - or definitely a Golf GTI.

My car i've specced came to 26,600 on the audi config app, not sure if that price will be the same as in the dealership. I hope not by much anyway as it's already pricey! Most i've spent on a car is 7 grand, twice. Once on a black Focus - black is lovely, but by hell does it show swirls, dents, scratches and gets dirty instantly!!! Unfortunately I was in the wrong place at the wrong time one day and it was written off, absolutely loved that car as well :(. I currently have a white Ibiza with black wheels. Like the exterior, hate the build quality and the suspension is absolute crap, bangs and knocks all the time. I think previous owner is 100% to blame for every problem it has, obviously been driven by someone that doesn't respect his own car. Also the naturally aspirated 1.4 is not really to my taste, the audi's one is super and turbo charged which is more to my taste ;) Hopefully when I order my A3 s line in November it'll be what I want, after all I plan on keeping it 8 years!

Thanks for the replies people!
