Hi Guys,
Newbie here with a problem that is doing his nut in. Basically I bought a 2008 Audi A3 1.9 TDIe off an insurance company with a few issues and missing parts. Car came without a cluster and I bought one off a 2009 Audi A3 1.9 TDI. Everything is installed on the car now but obviously immo is active.
When immo is disabled, the car will start and run fine but its in safe mode. I'm not sure what all happens in safe mode but car turbo doesn't seem to boost and many of the electronics aren't working either.
I have since had the car hooked up to an AVDI but it doesn't seem to be able to read the immo data. It just show zeros where the data should be and many of the AVDI functions don't work as it says immo is active. I get this same response whether the immo is on/off at the ECM.
Someone on another site did briefly mention that clusters from 2009 on, needed to have the eeprom read and modified with a programmer before you can access immo data but I have been unsuccessful in finding anymore info on this.
Has anyone here any experience or info on what is happening here? I've literally exhausted all of my resources at this stage and don't seem to be able to get any answers. So I would be ever so grateful for any help at all. Thanks guys.
