I think I saw somewhere on here you can use a5 led plate lights and have them coded in?

If so has anyone got the relevant part numbers required to get them working with no error on a 2010 s3.

Cheers

Not sure about that but I purchased some of these which are error free as the description says

I then angled the bulbs towards the rear of the car to reduce the brightness slightly and they work really well, so perhaps something to consider if you can't find the OEM solution.

Rustybucket what year is your motor? As ive tried other leds off ebay saying they had built in resistors but still threw up errors on my '60'plate s3 8p.

It's a 2006 s3 8p so should work fine on yours. It had a set of these previously on my 2003 RS6 which worked fine which is why I went these again for the price you can't go wrong really :)

One of the previous owners upgraded the ones on my car. Mine have 3 rows of 6 LEDs each and I am guessing they are different light units rather than a new bulb due to the LEDs taking up all of the internal surface area of the light.

I just fitted OEM ones to my 06 and they work fine

Cheers rusty bucket ! Ordered some of them like you say for the price worth ago. Luke which oem leds a5? What year? And did you need any coding?

OEM LED's work fine, without errors, on A3/S3's up to a certain age.

I've got a pair of OEM A5 LED's on my 56 plate and they're fine.

Cool I've already ordered the other ones see how they fair up. If not a5 leds it is!

With yours being 2010, the OEM ones will bring up an error.

If the ones you've ordered don't work for whatever reason, get on to T8ups, he'll be able to sort you out.

Yours is newer I see so the oems won't work

I've tried the exact same leds in first link and they are not error free even though they state they are I sent them a lengthy message telling them there advertised wrong
Audi a3 2010
Check my post for leds that do work or message here

drop T8ups a message on here, he sells looms that cancel out errors.

That's bizarre as both sets I've had have worked without errors. Hope you got it sorted with them.

Yea they are super sensitive on the facelift models, normal canbus friendly ones simply won't work

Yep eBay ones don't work but just ordered the looms of tru8ps so should be fine. Cheers

Cheers Rob I've got the looms being sent out now plus I quite like the slight hint of blue the current leds have against the white .

But I'll order some of those bolts. Minne are OK my mates a4 needed drilling out!

Yeah the audi screws r pants i rounded em off and had to drill 1 out:keule:

With trups loom still got the error haven't got oem leds just some other supposedly Canbus leds :(the

Just thought I'd update! I have working leds! Just not with the ones I'm using there slightly shorter so don't think they're resistaning enough. Work with a shorter one and enough led.

Now to find some leds that are more towards 8k as they look way better on white:arco::thumbs up:
