Just come to check the oil in my Audi and have noticed that the belt seems to be slightly fraying? I'm just checking that people agree before i go to Audi as i have only had the car since April with 30,000 on it and covered only 1300 miles
its a 2010 2.0 tfsi and yeah i know they can but just thought this may have been checked before the car was sold but is this a sign that it needs replacing?
Yes, any belt showing signs of fraying needs to be changed. It will only get worse. Best to get it done asap, and at the same time make sure that the tensioner pulley/system is working properly. Good luck.
