hi guys,
ive just bought a couple of sets of alloy wheels for my s3 track car.
plan is to have one on semi slicks and one on a wet weather tyre which will be my road tyre.
problem is other than the unisport rain sport versions ive no idea what else is good in the wet??
you guys have any suggestions?
thanks, Daz

Many use Uniroyal rainsport 2 with good things to say about them.

I believe Bill uses Eagle F1 Asyms on the badgerwagon in wet conditions

I have always found continentals sport contacts very good in the wet but that's just on my daily. I think I'm running version 5 at the moment.

eagle f1 assy 2

very good all round tyre, and what I use for wets..

beware of some like rainsports which are very soft sidewall and may not like the heavier s3

funny enough thats why i asked in the 8l section as tyres will react different under different loads if course.
ive read so many reviews online and they all contradict each other. driving ability/car being no doubt a big factor.
thanks for the help guys just widens my choices.

Had the Pilot Sport 3 on the S3 last year and currently have them on my golf, good all round tyre and last well.

Currently running Pirelli P Zero and can honestly say they are by far the best tyres in the wet I have ever had.
You have to brake hard to get the abs to come on in the wet, and I'm running brembos.

Only downside is they are wearing out a fair bit quicker than the michelins.

Have a read of this: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/tyre-guides/45327/pirelli-p-zero

which version of pzero are they?
or are they just pzero?
thanks for the replies!

Just the PZero, (not the Rosso or Nero types, there not so good).

I paid just under £90 a corner 225 45 18 Y, but that didn't include fitting coz I fitted them myself.

i had the rosso and i thought it was ok but its reviews are poor.
ill look into the pzero thanks i didnt realise it was available
