I have a 2001 s3 I've had it about 3 months now but recently when the car is on boost the front wheels seem to wheel spin left and right or sometimes just to the left there's plenty of tred left on the tyres also I thought you wouldn't get torque steer on a awd?

I have 2001 s3 and I don't get any torque steer. Is your alignment set up correctly? Are your ball joints etc in good nick?

Is your haldex actually working... I have quite a bit of power and no torque steer at all...

Front wheels should not spin if haldex is working

<tuffty/>

I never get torque steer in mine. The most ill get when pulling away is just a chirp from the front wheels.

How could I check if the haldex is working? Il have a look at ball joints when get chance

This might sound daft, but try and pull away aggressively on a slippery surface. You'll soon knownof the fronts are spinning up or if the rears are kicking in.

Put your car on an elevator,lift it a little bit and accelerate slowly. You will see if the haldex is working or not.

So I checked the fuse that's fine and haldex seems to working so I think it's down to the crap £40 new tyres that was on the car when I got it they got a 30% rating for wet grip which could explain it
