Put a deposit down yesterday. Should be picking it up in a couple of weeks. Can't wait.

Options included are:
HDD Sat Nav
B&O Stereo
Front and rear parking sensors
There was an iPhone/iPod connector in the glove box (does this mean it has AMI?)

The one thing it is missing that I ideally wanted was DAB so I'm now off to hunt around how to retrofit that. Any help on that one would be appreciated but i'm sure there are plenty of threads floating about.

Just need to sell the S3 now!
Just in case I might as well plug that here:

Couldn't have picked a better car myself! Welcome to the club.

I love mine, pulls from any revs and not dared take it to the max yet. Engine smooth and quiet.

You gone for the coupe or Sportback?

Get the transmission mount ASAP you won't regret it!

If you could get it mapped so I can see if it's any good you'd be doing me a favour! Lol

Post some pictures when you get it.

Mine's in for a service next week so I'll let you know how it gets on.

Enjoy

Hi w7 abs, it's a sport back. Needed 5 doors with our first child being due in October.

I've seen some posts on transmission mounts will have to have a look in to that. A remap will have to wait, i've skinted myself just getting the car!

Will get pics up when i've got her. Should be towards the end of next week but then we're up in the Peak district for a week's holiday.

Have you got an S-Tronic? If so, does your service manual tell when it needs servicing. The car i've gone for is on 36k miles and i've got a horrible feeling i'll need to get that done pretty soonish.

Sounds like a nice car Adrian. You will love this section of the forum. Guys are all really helpful and friendly. Dont forget we be wanting pics asap please. :) x

Yes, mines the Sportback S tronic. It's just the minor service but already fed up of the dashboard notice every time I switch on and off.

I suppose I'll just have to get it mapped before using someone else as a guinea pig.

I said 3 years ago that I'd never have a diesel and never have an automatic, this car changed my view on both.

Enjoy the lakes and the car.

Picking her up tomorrow! :yahoo:

Already been looking at what Superchips can offer. I had their map on the S3 and was pleased with it. Any other maps worth considering?

Today will drag in. Look forward to lots of pics tomorrow though. I know you will enjoy your new car. :) x

Heh heh.

See once that thought is in your head you just have to map!:eyebrows:

I ran the A3 with bluefin and loved it but I'll let you get your's done first, LOL.

We want lots of piccy's please.

I'll start a new thread when I've calmed down with how the service went!

Enjoy tomorrow, I didn't sleep the day before I picked mine up. Regressed 40 years to Christmas Eve.

Picked her up on the 14th and then went up to the Yorkshire Dales for a week the following day so haven't had time to take many pics. Just the one so far so here she is:

Monza silver I think.

Anyway, had a beautiful drive up to Yorkshire and back. The comfort is great, the performance is good and the economy is not bad either. So far so good, i'm well chuffed.

Lovely, glad you are happy with the car. The 3.0TDi is a very good engine, sure you'll continue to enjoy it.

Very nice mate.

Hope you enjoyed the lakes?

Love the wheels and those rear tints, I'm jealous already!

Enjoy that V6 power (until you chip) lol.

There's no rear tint, must just be the angle I've taken the photo from.

Did I say lakes? I meant the Yorkshire dales! Anyway yes it was really good. Did a couple of nice rides on the MTB. Walked up one of the three peaks. Ate food, drank beer. Can't fault it.

Been in touch with superchips. As I had a bluefin on the S3 and put it back to standard before trading in I can get the A5 map for quite a bit cheaper by the looks of things. Will have to wait though as money's a bit tight at the moment. :(

No my Bad on the lakes, you said the peaks!

Just been to Wales but took the Honda to save racking the miles on mine as changing that for an A1 soon.

Just got a price for folding mirrors and reverse cam, (£1300) ouch. Will have mine chipped when the warranty is up as you've seen in my other thread how picky Audi can be.

You'll have to tint now as well. Heh heh :jester:

Glad you're enjoying.
