I've seem to have developed a flutter noise when I let off the throttle and come back on. Sometimes does it when I just let off.

Engine wise all I have is revo cai and I've changed to rev g and rev n Pcv off the top of my head. Both fine tried rev d Dv and same sound still.

Doesn't sound bad and don't seem to have lost boost. I'm still on the standard map for the moment.

Sounds a bit like a forge Dv or like it's dumping to air. Any one have this? Is it normal?

Cheers Conrad

when did you fit your intake? since s3 has recirculating dv when adding cai the sound of air going back to cai is more noticeable.

Few months ago now. I know what you mean by the re circ noise it's not that definitely chatter / flutter.

Just booked the car in for full BCS and maybe some other bits. so will get it looked at then.

Although Alex at aks said cars with higher boost do tend to make the noise I described to him. More boost more noise kind of thing.

I'm thinking maybe the standard map fully adjusting to the intake?

used to happen to me with the previous AMD intake I had but once I've fitted revo cai the sound somewhat disappeared. Its always good to check 032 block for LTFT to see if there is no air leaking somewhere.

The flutter was normal, are you saying \i've got a leaky CIA? Fitted REVO same as yours. Whats LTFT and I guess you mean Block 032 on VCDS which module?

Check all the wiring plugs around the DV and half way down the throttle intake pipe, mine came loose and cause a flutter sound when lifting off.

Yeah I've checked all the hoses that I can reach all seem ok to be fair. No signs of movement on anywhere I can see.

Cheers for the replys

Try driving in a high gear say 5/6th and if possible up a hill, and with the engine in a low RPM range if you give her the boot (foot fully down) this should cause the flutter as well. And its just the DV getting rid of the extra boost. Dont try this if your clutch is slipping though.
