is it possible to run stage 2 with just a pipeworx 3" down pipe and decat? and a standard cat back? also whilst keeping the factory air box with just a panel filter?

You can get away without a proper CAI at Stg2,but you will lose a bit of power,and likewise,anot doing the whole exhaust will lose you a bit more.
You don't need a decat until Stg3 and above.
thanks mate, just more cost effective to decat it with the down pipe then put a sports cat in

It is,but then you have to map out any fault codes and find a friendly MOT tester.

I run a Pipewerx downpipe and decat with OEM cat back, but I do have a Revo Intake.
Revo Stage 2 lists the following requirements:
- Turbo Back Exhaust with Sports or De-cat
- High Flow Intake System with correct MAF scaling (click to view technical document)
You can run with Stage 1 OK but the engine light will come on due to the decat, it doesn't effect performance, but if the light is on you wont know of any other codes that may appear if the light is already on.

I currently run a Milltek decat downpipe, with no remap, and have no light on the dash. Is this normal?

The CEL light only comes on when the O2 sensors reach a certain limit. It is just a warning, doesn't change the performance or economy of the car. My MPG hasn't changed having a decat, still get 250-300 miles to a full tank of 99RON.

It would run with these mods but you wouldnt see the full benefit of the map if I`m honest.
thanks lads so in short it can be done but would be worth waiting getting a intake ? dos the intercooler need swapping or is that okay at say stage 2/ stage 2 +

Intercooler is generally OK till Stg3 although there are some benefits below that.
I would do the other things like exhaust and CAI first.
