Hi guys,

Some of you may have saw my recent thread regarding a new rear bumper.

The original plan was to buy a replacement bumper and install a cobra reverse parking kit, however the bumper I had from the breakers came with oem sensors.

This meaning I am unable to install the cobra sensors because they are smaller than the oem ones (MY2007 Audi S3).

Does anyone have any idea on part numbers for what additional parts are required?

I believe I will need the following:

1. Wiring from the sensors to the module

2. The module box itself

3. Buzzer/beeper

Have I missed anything?
Any part numbers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Will

going to need
parking aid module - 8P0919283D as long as your parking sensors part number is 7H0919275D as the correct sensors need to speak to the correct module. newer modules wont work with older sensors.

buzzer - 8E0919279

loom from sensors to parking aid module - 8P3971085 or kufatec loom

then a loom to connect into the cars canbus system and then code via VCDS

Lewbo,

Thanks alot mate much appreciated. The bumper is off a 2007 car so I believe it was the same bumper as the one you previously had for sale.

How difficult do you think it is to actually install these things with the bumper off ofcourse? The only bit that sounds difficult is connecting into the cars canbus system

Thanks again
Will

You can get the required looms from kufatec.
I did this mod on my old S3. Its a much better solution than the Audi retrofit sensors I have now.
I will be doing it again when the right bumper comes up.

just editied 1st post with loom part number too so that helps you. its not too difficult depending on your skills, kufatec looms suggest taking canbus wiring to the can gateway module behind glove box but canbus high/low wiring also runs to rear of the vehicle so can splice into them there.

That's great news guys, thanks for this. I will see if I can find any 2nd hand modules around and ofcourse get the looms from kufatec/Audi/tps.

I love the idea of taping into the canbus system in the rear end of the car. This will make it so much easier for me. Are there any images out there where this canbus wire is located in the rear? Just so that I can make sure I splice the correct one? Appologies for the lack of knowledge here guys!

There is a retrofit thread that i used/contributed to, I'll find it.

only thing you will need to take from front of the car is a 2 x 5A supplies from the fuse box to power up the parking module. the canbus wires are the ones that go into the conv module which actually sits next to the parking aid module i will get you the colours/pin numbers and post up soon.

No problem mate be brill when it's all up and running, do you have vcds to code it in?

Almost there again with this myself having managed to bag a facelift S3 sportback bumper, which is tricky due to the design change on the 8P3 A3's and the smaller sensors.
The car currently has the Audi retrofit sensors which are chronic and look awful.
Would love to do the full optical park but fronts needed as well apparently (unless anyone knows different?)
What module did you go with?

I went with the module above that Lewbo helped me with P/N 8P0919283D but this works with the corresponding sensors (P/N 7H0919275D)

I purchased the cobra rear parking sensors last month as I was going to retrofit those instead. But I grabbed a bumper with oem sensors so I can no longer use my cobras which are alot smaller and flush fitting.

If you want ops you will need the correct module that supports it and a new grill with the two sensors and your original bumper can be drilled for the other 2. You will also new button for centre console (08-09 models is new button but 10 onwards it's full unit as they are complete and buttons don't separate). If you have rnse once this is fitted and rears are fitted once coded all will work.

Could i get the correct module and just do the rears for now or will that throw a fault?
Cars a my10 with Rnse

Yes you can do that, it will throw up a fault via vcds but not on clocks, rears will still work fine. Module p/n 8P0919475N

Finally an update after a month or so..... Sorry for the delays !!!

Bumper resprayed to the same colour as my car and new bumper with oem sensors installed. I've just got to connect the kufatec wires to the car now. Did you post the colour/pins up previously Lewbo?

Thanks
Will
