Hey guys. Was wondering if anyone could shed some light. Here goes.
So I was driving back from Southampton last week and gave it a squirt off the slip road. Then all of a sudden upon acceleration In 4th the entire car begins to shake (quite violently) .... Got home. Diagnosed as a worn gearbox mount (top gearbox mount - engine was moving all over the place!). TPS - Main dealer part only.... Few days for a new one. Okey dokey.
Long story short I replaced the top mount which was failing and still this rumble/thump persists. It's pretty vile when exceeding 4/5k rpm.
From stand still 1st to 2nd is fine. No grumble. Any other gears that must hold more strain - rumble/thump/shaking car...
Are we thinking Diff issues ? Prop issues? Or is there something simple I'm missing?
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Guys. Dan
