Apologies in advance if this question has been asked before

GAP Insurance - yes or no?

Having never taken out a GAP insurance policy on any of my cars, I'm just wondering do I really need it and what are the benefits are of having it

Thanks in advance :thumbs up:

I've always taken gap insurance when buying a new car the way I look at it is god forbid it gets totalled for any reason within policy cover the policy pays the price you paid for the car instead of market value your insurance will pay this was how it was explained to me "you paid £17k for your car gap will pay the £17k but your insurance may only pay say £14k" to me it seems worth it but others may disagree

Hi,Just to let you know that we offer a product called Total Loss Protection. Whilst it's not exactly the same as a traditional GAP policy we feel it can offer a cost effective alternative. If you'd like any further details please feel free to drop me a line and I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.

I took out gap insurance when I got new car back in May. Had never heard of it before until earlier this year wrote off my A5 and almost got stuck with an 8k difference between what Audi finance wanted & what the insurers were offering. Luckily negotiated it down to under 1k. Then when I got my new car I took out a 3 year policy with Frank Pickles for under 200 quid which in my opinion is well worth it.
