Is the 'Electric Lumbar Support' worth the money? I might be missing the fact that you get the lumbar support either way, and this only upgrades it to electric - but my understanding is it's electric lumbar or no lumbar at all.

Is this worth it?

I can't really comment as I've never really tried a car without it for a long journey, but I like that I have it. Probably one of the things that you'd really miss if you didn't have it - I like to adjust it sometimes on a long journey if things are getting a bit uncomfortable.

Currently have lumbar support, never really use it. Causes me more pain than relief!

I got it and it makes a huge difference for me. It's not a huge cost and there is no lumber support (manual or otherwise) without this option.

John.

Agree - worth it for the times when you need to adjust things a bit. And no there's no lumbar adjustment unless you option this.

Yes. Used to have to stuff a rolled up hoodie between my back and seat on long motorway journeys in my old Civic Type-R. Lumbar support was the first thing I specified on the A3! It's not expensive and it's there if you need it. Plus it's both front seats.

I've has it in several previous cars, as well as current and will be on the S3 when it arrives. Personally I wouldnt do without it!

Had on my 2002 A6
I replaced that car with an X5 which didn't have it and I really missed it, although the seats were very good in every other way.
It was a no-brainer to add it to the spec of the A3 and I'm very glad I did.

Definitely recommend it. Not much money and I do use it more than I thought I would - not the 'adjust once and forget' feature you might think. AND you get it on the passenger seat which I didn't realise!

Lumbars good but not necessary for me to have electric. Once set it's set.

I have spec'd it on our new car given you get nothing without it and and all our recent cars have had it in either manual or electric form. Was worried it could be just be the wrong shape without it.

All cars we've had with lumbar support I've set and not changed once I've worked out where its needed (which I've not found straightforward).
