I have a mk1 TT roadster now I've come to drive her tonight and noticed that my clutch biting point has changed, it's lower down then what it was, now I drove her the other day and she was find, she was parked up all of yesterday and changed when I drove her today but it was like this when I first moved her it didn't happen when driving round???

Any suggestions as to what it could be???

Thanks sarah

Possibly the master/slave cylinder on the way out, mines went a bit 'strange' for about a month before finally failing.
If it is you will be as well to get the clutch pedal welded to reinforce it if you havent done so already whilst the cylinders are getting replaced

There is a weak point on the back section of the clutch pedal, its a common failure in mk1s. Its the section where the rod connects on to the pedal, its worth getting it done. I didnt and 3 months after getting the master/slave cylinder replaced the pedal snapped so needed replacing...never felt the same after that

Hi Mistress-Mk1TT
As dztt says;
It's most likely the master cylinder behind the pedal that's gone faulty as ive had the same problem and now fixed and all is well and pedal is back to its rightful position :)

This is the culprit that snaps off
