Not 100% sure on the red, other options are Glacier White or Daytona. I have not seen many reds and not many with he aluminium roof rails, anyone got any pics?

Any other options essential, trying to keep cost down where possible.

Daytona is a bit bland for an s line. Glacier white on the other hand looks stunning, the black bits contrasting superbly with the white. There are plenty of pics on the internet - just google a3 s line gallery. Mine is misano red, but the difference from brilliant red only notices in bright sunlight. Misano is a metallic colour, but you'd never know it. If you're looking to save money, I think brilliant red will be fine.

I wouldn't say Daytona is bland, but perhaps understated compared to white, red or even blue. It looks different depending on the light/weather conditions and when put next to Monsoon Grey you can see a lot more depth and flake pop in the Daytona Grey.

I love daytona, picked it without seeing it in real life after only seeing monsoon and not liking it.
Lovely flake pop especially when cleaned well. Only colours I would have chosen instead had they not been exclusive are sepang blue or the purple (forgot the name)

If you want to see my Glacier White go to

I had the Black Styling Pack but that means you can't have aluminium roof bars (I didn't want any roof bars!).

It's so difficult to keep the options down when there are so many nice ones available. *** is great by the way! If you can stretch to Adaptive Cruise Control I'd highly recommend it. It is amazing and makes any journey less stressful.

Stephen C - understated is a better word than bland (apologies). As you say, red or white do make a bit of a statement and my only concern is that I might get fed up with misano red after a while for that very reason. We'll see. I agree with your remarks about paint flake- my last A3 was deep sea blue, again a bit understated, but in bright sunlight these lovely bright blue bits showed through the paint. It was a shame that we can't have brilliant sunlight every day!

Thanks, going to try and see a Brilliant Red S-line before I have to confirm my order before build. Perhaps thinking I should have added interior lighting pack but not sure again.

Saw the brilliant red on a A3 S-line saloon in our local showroom

Looked really really nice IMHO

Are you sure this was Brilliant Red as it looks more like Misano Red to me?

Defo brilliant red. I had a good look + this had no flake pop under showroom lights which misano has (had a another Audi in misano in the showroom at the same time) ;)

Thanks for this confirmation BH....must say I really like this Brilliant Red in the Saloon.

I have misano red. It doesn't have flake pop up under lights or bright sunlight. The car in the picture definitely looks like misano - it's more scarlet than brilliant red, but in dull light conditions the two are difficult to tell apart.

I have brilliant red and love it. I don't see the point in paying extra for a colour that is so similar... After a good polish and wax brilliant red shines like no other
