Hi Guys, I have a set of pre facelift LED rear lights for my 2010 A5, i also have a central control module and ibelieve it came off a 2009 S5. Can someone advice me how i would fit the properly including coding them in and what would it cost along with someone who can do the fit and coding for me incuding making the looms?

Thank you, your help is much appreciated

im in Sheffield

I don't think you need the ccm

I fitted some to a 2009 and coded all worked fine with oem ccm.

bez, can you do the same for me please, i have th emodule if needed if not then thats even better. I will pay you for your help too.
Thanks Buddy

if I had the time I would gladly help you

but im doin 14 hour days so no time to take a sxxx never mind fit lights

but ill help with info.

thanks for the repy. Im really bad at this sort of stuff, and i believe i require a new loom as well as coding, and top it all off i dont have VCDS to code them in even if i did manage to buy the looms somewhere. I have rang nearly every audi specialist and they all talk nonsense and are asking ridiculous money or they say further parts are required, or they say i need to buy new lights without even seeing the ones i have. The bottom line is no one knows apart from the people on the forums.

do me a favour

take a picture of the plug on the lights you have

and maybe the plug on the oem lights fitted.

should be a quick rewirw with new plugs. same as the A4 B8

The lights came off the same car as mine, the difference being the rear lights are led, the engine size 2.t is the same as well as the year. the current lights on my car are your stand 2009 halogen ones.

yeah I know but normaly the inner light plug straight in but the outers need new plug fitting
or other way round.

the outer lights have plugs from the other car still fitted as they were cut off not unplugged.

that's good news if they need changing

don't cut and wire tho

get the pics for the outers so I can check them
and at weekend ill did my crap out and tell you how to swap the plugs

there will be someone near you that will code them for you.

its a 10 min job.

nice one buddy, ill take a pic of the outers now. I think when i was referring to the outers, i meant the larger lamp thats on the wing not the boot. But in any case i will now upload pics of the bootlid parts of the rear lights. Do you think its something where id have to solder and make wiring looms etc? because im not so good at that sort of thing. Also i have messaged more or less everyone from the VCDS map in a 50 mile radius of central manchester, but im not getting any replies or they havnt been online as their last login is quite old :S

no cutting or solder

just simple swapping wires from plug to plug

nice one bez, please do let me know if you can in laymans terms exactly what wires to swap etc and iwill be so grateful.

are the the inners ? boot lights ?

on the audi a5, you have the 'inner' lights which are on the boot lid, and then the 'outer' lights which is the main unit which has the indicator on which are the first pics i posted.

oh and if i mis read your post then the second set of pics i posted are the inner lights.

no probs I missed the first pictures

iv got what I need ill get part numbers for plugs needed and a diagram for wires

ill pm you Friday night or sat morning when iv finshed work and explain what you need to get and how to rewire the plugs

but im pretty sure the inners use the same plug and you have the plug for the outers so may just need the wires doing and code.

hi bez, i just sent you an email, and once again thank you for your help and support. Im finally getting somewher after 2 weeks!

If your still struggling with the lights I know a guy in Leeds who does this for a living doesn't charge the earth let me know if you want his number he a good guy to know can do loads off different mods and coding and makes his own looms for the rear lights

Hi 93T, i think you might be talking about a guy called Tom. I have spoken to him and he said he wont be coding them in and will be using resistors or something. I have also read in other threads that using them can sometimes lead to failure of the lights so ideally id want the coded.

So bump! Anyone else out there who can help me with this

As I mentioned to you in private messages, if we met up I could sort it out for you. I know it's quite a distance for you though.

Hi Ash, i really appreciate it that your actually helping and want to, however, the distance is just too far to justify the cost of fuel and parts as well as requiring a whole day with the driving and isntallation.

Hi can someone help me? I am looking to fit led lights on my A5 it’s 2009 and I want to fit the bubble 2010 led lights on the rear of the car. Can someone advise me or point me in the direction of someone who can help?
