Nearly a year on and I'm in a happy place at the moment with my motor, bought last September and had few problems at first. Turbo limp mode became a constant issue and eventually had turbo reconditioned at GAP turbos 8 weeks ago did full service including gearbox egr and inlet manifold cleaned whilst car was off the road. and then once back in one piece i payed a visit to Rick at unicorn developments in Stockport for remap and egr sorting out whilst there. The car came back producing 209 bhp but had turbo lag in the lower gears!! Result was vacuum pump on inlet manifold was shot I sorted that out two weeks ago and she is now pulling like a train. Next was spacers I payed Visit to demon tweeks n got mtech spacers 20s on rear 15s front. I'm looking next at lowering her but unsure whether to go lowering springs as on se shocks or go overcoils?? Advice off you guys would be much appreciated please! Then finally I'm thinking of a milltek backcat system anyone who has one feedback would be great please. Here's few pics of her from today cheers Lee

Can't help you on your mod advice request, however, your car is looking sweet. I do like that colour.

I'm only guessing, but I would think if you lower it you may need smaller spacers. Does the front not catch now over speed bumps?

No fronts on the 15mm spaces don't catch at all and on full lock both directions there's plenty of clearance, I was worried about that myself to be honest

I was more meaning on the wing, I had that problem. Fine on lock but I couldn't go in any further due to the calipers. It just rubbed slightly over big speed bumps. I ended up taking the bolt/screw out that holds the inner wheel arch in!!!! The tyre was just catching on the screw head, problem solved!

Wot size spacers was that with dodsie75? I haven't had that problem up to now and is not catching the wing there's 60mm clearance around the front arch and tyre as she at the moment!!

My problem was more the offset and width. Think they are 42et and 8.5j. I tried 12mm spacers but they were too wide so I'm 8mm now and about 1mm clear of my calipers!!!!!

It will be stamped inside your wheels. Offset is the et number, probably 42ish and the width will end in j probably 8.0j or 8.5j

Yes you can just about make it out but not clear is it. Anyway yours don't rub so happy days :icon thumright:

Hi @kellogz what size wheels are you running ?? if they are 19's what size are the tyres ? im on 19's running 235 tyres but I find them to narrow for the wheel so im looking for something better suited. Also do you have a link to the spacer you bought TIA

Hi @markspark im also running on 19" rims eom audi rs4 also my tyre size 235/40/18 Avon zz5 mate, i got my spacers from www.demontweeks.com

yes they do making overall clearance around the wheel arch look much more especially on front wheels, im looking to go lowering springs or overcoils which will solve this issue and improve handling
