Audi S3 - 0-60mph =3.77, 0-100mph = 8.92

I'll try it but I doubt it will make much difference as it's the same as map 1 to map 2 to which I can't say there was any difference. It's supposed to be a different cam profile map. Will give it a go though, I'll be back at the dragstrip at the end of the month.

Nice one Leo, I will use the same map as you at Spa when my unit arrives then ... assuming it arrives within the next few weeks.

Andrew is really good mate, he got mine to me within 24hrs, just PM him and he will sort it out for you.

I am on the group buy list so I guess he is getting some stock in at the moment, he has PMed me already to verify year and model, looking into BBKs at the moment, having a real hard time finding decent pads for the rear :(

Mine came in about a day as well. Ive tried the 4th Map and didn't feel too much of a difference from the 3rd one. To be honest I preferred the 3rd map, it felt it had slightly more pull at higher revs so just kept it at that one. A Vbox might tell I different story but thats what I thought. Money well spent!!

do you guys have a rough idea what each program 1-4 gives over stock, and which one is the "leo" map, 3?

The map Leo was using was map 3 plus 2 or 3

Map 1 plus 3 is the 355ps dynod in Germany and the UK

Mine is map 3 (+3) Seems to work really good to be honest and the map responsible for those figures and 1/4m time.

I'm finding the stock 300ps to be better than my 2012 S3 8P with APR stage 1 ~310ps, I was taken aback when driving away from the dealership Wednesday on how responsive it is and the exhaust (dynamic) is sublime. My ADS is set to individual (Eng/Gbox AUTO, Exhaust and Steering DYNAMIC) so come the time to fit the FSR box, Map 1 +3 should be more, more, more than enough for the likes of me :)

I believe it's an Internet rumour that has grown arms and legs and I was told the same with my previous TTRS to which I far surpassed over 200 launches (about 275-300 in the 2yrs I had it) If the launch control on the gearbox stops working at 200 launches on this S3, it will go back to the dealer for warranty work to resolve and if it turns out to be a 200 limit, trading standards would love that as there is no mention anywhere in the user manual of restricted use.

just saying, the only way to find out is to use VCDS and search for launch control counter or do 200 LCs :).

Before I went down the sensible family hatch and money staying in the bank route I had designs on a GTR, went and drive one and asked the GTR specialist salesman about this myth and he laughed and said he'd heard nothing about it.
The only technicality I believe they could get you on is that warranty work doesn't cover 'fair wear and tear' and they would probably class dozens of back to back LC launches as not fair wear and tear.

Nothing further to report really other than instead of 12.01 being my quickest time, I ran a 12.00 today (how frustrating)

I was there today with what I would call direct competition in the form of an A45 AMG with a rebellion tuning box. Like for like on the same day, same track, same conditions, he ran a 12.17 vs my 12.00

If you scroll down to 2.0t class (also attached)

http://www.crailraceway.co.uk/dragstripclassres.php

Also, I appear to be in the top 10 on the leaderboard in the 2.0t class...

http://www.crailraceway.co.uk/recordscrail.php?recclass=7

Out of the 2.0t class in the UK just now between the A45 AMG/Golf R Mk7 and Audi S3 8V, nothing else has gone quicker so far.

Can't wait until we get some proper goodies (and remap) for these cars

11s will come I'm sure. The trap speed is also a bit low compared to what you had last time. How was the weather? Dou you have the timeslip? What was your speed at the 1/8 mile mark?

As they are published online at the end of days racing, I don't bother with the printed off time slips anymore.

Yes, the ambient temps were 18-20c so far too warm for drag racing, I will set some better times when the ambient is circa 5c (October/Nov)

I done a 12.03 @ 114.5mph too but yeah terminal speeds slightly down (Due to temperature)

Haha, no, when I'm lined up alone for a run (Sometimes happens when 2 specific cars in the queue want to race each other) then instead of launching by the lights and holding it on launch revs for eternity, I take my time and disregard the lights to launch in my own time. When using launch control when you're lined up against something, you don't really want to be on launch revs for anymore than 5-6secs, however, it's often the case you could be waiting on launch revs for 15-20secs before they let you go. Very frustrating as the car doesn't like you holding it that long, it will start to lose revs, you just need to time it quite right (Reason for long delay may be clearance at the bottom of the track before they let you go) When Im not racing anything, I wait until the lights go green, hold it on LC revs for 2-3secs and then let go. Reaction time not included in the 1/4m time so doesn't particularly matter when you launch.

Sound good as I too will be coming from a stage 1 S3.

On the test drives it felt a lot quicker when comparing it to mine.

Will be trying the TMC box out, just ordered one and going to pod on the 14th, so will see whats what. Already have a full exhaust and may have an intake by then aswell so should see 11's or close too I reckon.

Ah you ******, you'll take my record no doubts.:thumbs up:

I have ordered an APR intake and a Scorpion Decat downpipe and midpipe from Awesome but that was 3 wks ago and still not heard anything. I'm not sure they've even received their first batch of APR intakes. Quite disappointing really after all the hype.

Ooh TMC box, I've been waiting for someone to try one out!

Would appreciate a write up or report on the TMC box, I'm attracted to this as there's no need to directly connect to the battery, I think!

Look forward to the pics/report :)

Finished today with a 1/4m time of 11.90 which was enough for quickest car of the day outright and puts me up into 4th overall in the 2.0t hall of fame leaderboard :thumbs up:

That is some achievement Leo

What list of mods have you got? And is that with a full interior?

DTUK tuning box, no other modifications.

I haven't shed any weight from the car yet, that will come on next phase when the exhaust, intake and intercooler are done.

he says stock OEM car just FSR box fitted so that to me is no other mods including altering the interior

That's very impressive just for a tuning box, with the rest of the mods you're planning and no rear seats that's easily going to be very low 3's to 60 with a hard launch

Yep,

My TTRS used to run 0-60 in 3.0 flat and run the 1/4 in 11.3. I don't think I'll get the S3 to that but would like to think it will get down to 3.2-3.3 and 11.5 down the strip when finished.

It's rly a case of it holding the boost and keep on accelerating hard in the mid range rather than tailing off I suppose,

I had a 300bhp stripped out corsa c track car a couple of yr ago that weighed 1000kg that I built from the ground up that did shocking 0-60 with wheelspin (4.9secs) but it's midrange punch was unbelievable

Can you confirm which map you are using, is it 3+3 ?
I'm just running mine on what ever it came with as not had a chance to play around with it yet.
