So will be saying good bye... For now.

One last question what's the conversion from maf g/s to bhp and is it valid for diesels?

Pmsl. What oil burner you bought
Dont you devide by 0.8???
Not sure if it works on the devils fuel though

Doesn't work for diesels, they give the MAF figure in mg/stroke not grams/second like the 1.8T.

Diesel MAF figures will also be much bigger numbers, my PD130 stage2 reads 1248 mg/st
(If you try the petrol rule: 1248 / 0.8 would be 1560 bhp, I wish!)

Yeh, and its an 8v so go upstairs you posh git!!!:p

Lol cheers daz! It's ok though Iam still on the hunt for a decent 8l s3 , I would of bought rice's s3 but currently in middle of sorting house out so gotta wait a few months yet :-(

I got the g/s reading from torque pro. But anyway its a 2.0d jaguar x type. Was too cheap to turn down. Doubled my mpg lol

An x type too cheap to turn down? In the double figures then?
Joking. Its a shame fuel is so expensive isnt it. Diesels are looking more and more appealing!!!
Not for me of course but the mrs!!

X types have caught my eye too on ebay there are tonnes that are really cheap. I want to get a v6 sometime and always miss good b5s. Not a fan of jags but I did get a drive in an x type when they were new and it was very nice.

Quick review of what it's like to drive and live with?

It was £700, just been serviced 4 new tyres and 4 new injectors(very common to fail and expensive to replace).
Well I've had the jag for a few weeks now, it's a completely different driving style taking some getting used to. Mines a 5 speed and it revs on a motorway at 80mph revs at about 3k which is high for a diesel which red lines at 4.5k. Feels like it needs a 6th gear. It's a big car but you can still throw it around and end up pointing in the right direction. Traction control makes driving very boring but there is a switch for that. I'll be getting it remapped to get some more poke but hopefully no black smoke as that's just wasted fuel. Not sure on mpg I'm getting but it's double the range per tank than my a3 and costs the same to fill.
One annoyance is that the boot is sealed from the cabin making chucking a huge stereo in the boot problematic but I have plans for that.
Overall it's nice and smooth to drive even for an 11 year old car that pulls well very comfy and just eats up the miles on a long haul. I've recently become a dad(perfect little boy named Henry) so this suits that nicely.
