You posted that while I was typing.
Looks so much better on the RS3 grill but does it need lowered on the left?

Yeah it is slightly p*ssed but I was really rushing to get it on, easily fixed.

I think against the RS3 grill that's the best I've seen.
Really good mate. Is your grill from Xenon UK? If so what's the quality like?

Cheers pal.

No I bought it via eBay from some Chinese dude who I paid too much for - especially as there was a group buy not long after which brodster started (which is xenonz grilles) I think the reviews are pretty positive and for £250 it makes a hell of a difference visually!

Yeah it was me that was doing the group buy for the RS3 grill but now can supply ALL RS grills anytime anyone wants one. And just as a heads up the pre-facelift RS3 grill is nearing completion.......watch this space guys.

I would have one but i have a diesel :(

And?

I was tempted by one for my 8 which is a diesel and a quattro but maybe next time.
Quattro diesel is best of both worlds I think. :)

Brodster, If anything happens with a RS style grill for the A8s, let me know. I know of a couple of A8 owners that's interested in such a grill. We are thinking of trying out a D4 grill if one comes up at a good price.

Mine arrived on Tuesday I think it was - only just managed to get on the forums.

Echoing what others have said - it isnt the best quality, would have expected to pay around £20 or so for it.

Taking nothing away from Jay for sorting it though, nice one fella :beerchug:

Cheers bud! You'll have to post a pic if and when it's on? I've removed mine again as I think between the grille and splitter may suit it better but I don't have my car at the moment to do it

Not really my cup of tea if i'm honest

But Fairplay to everyone involved for sorting it!!!!!

Got mine on the other day, went with black zipties (although it'd be almost impossible to do this neatly without the bumper off which is what I did as I was doing something else at the same time), its been pressure washed twice and driven a few hundred miles, no issues at all.

I just wondered how everyone's badges are holding up? Wondered if there'd been any casualties
Mines still in one piece.

Still in one piece. Although haven't had it all week. Needs a good clean

Still there with the tiny tiny screws

Yeah mine is doing great, had plenty of comments on it (well the 3 women at work who have ibis white A3's - mix of s-line and black editions) so if I get in at the right time I park it in a line with them to upset them because they can't get an S3 on the lease scheme :)

Done > 1000 miles, pressure washed and its held on with cable ties

So having picked up my new car a couple of weeks ago now I finally got round to adding this:

I know it may split opinion, but I like it, as it is quite subtle down there.Black zip ties being the method of attachment to th =e three vertical grille bars.

Here is a before for comparison:

Very nice mate. Thumbs up! Same method as me, and mines still on so should last you a while.

Nearly 12 months on plus winter driving, how many are still in place and would those who bought one still say there worth the money, personally I think they luck the mutts nuts on the RS3 grill

Still going strong with mine too. However thinking recently about removing it and adding the new grille xenonz UK has with the built in Quattro as per the new RS3 8V - check it out
