Hi all, my car is due for a repair on the drivers side door at Audi. Does anyone have any idea on the most common courtesy car that they provide? Or is it just a matter of what's available on the day? I am 20 years old so I was wondering whether they wouldn't allow me to have an A4/A5 due to my age? Or are they not bothered about age? Thank you all

I'd say it depends on what they have. Someone I know from work got an A5, but don't know if that's common practice. I guess you'll just have to wait and see! I'd imagine it will be an A1/3/4.

My friend took a brand new TT in for a fault, and asked for an R8 and they gave him one!! He is 46 tho so maybe age has something to do with it😟

I asked for an S5 last week and they did their best to see if they had one I could take for the day but they didn't, I ended up with a 3.0 TDI S line A5 though which was nice, mental fast

Took my S3 in last week and got a 1.2 A3 sportback :(

Mine went in on wed last week and I was given an A4 with 2k miles on, felt pretty gutless though :(

Yea my A3 only had 4.5k on it and was sline, nice inside but gutless lol.

my prev car went in they rolled out a wee daewoo matiz I laughed and walked out got the bus home and unleashed a verbal assault on my insurance company who moved the car to another garage and gave me vaux astra sri Diesel which i never knew they did.

I put my A8 into Glasgow Audi Bodyshop and got a VW Polo.. Yip ! It's seemingly because the Bodyshop isn't owned by Audi and they only give Polo's as courtesy cars.

well they are telling lies lol they pulled an a1 sport out the showroom for me when my car went in and a mate just had the managers a5 as he refused the polo when putting his a6 in but it was audi that damaged it so the manager was more than happy to help, but the op might have a problem due to his age as you need to be 21 only know this as a young guy we know blew up his s3 gearbox an they would not supply a car due to him being 19

Just given back a brand new A3 TDi S-Line which I had for over a week, it was lovely! Definitely going 8V S3 now after having that...

The polo was a great car so it didn't bother me..

Just be cheeky and ask, when I was 18 they gave me a 225 TT for the weekend because I asked for one.

Lol any chance they could actually give me an S3? Really want to try and drive one of those before I purchase one in a couple of years time!

I purchased an a3 quattro tfsi black edition from audi.Had it a week and it went back in for a s**t load of faults to be sorted they gave me a brand new 2.0tdi a5 sline automatic..I had it for over three weeks. Two days before handing it back some idiot in an astra drove into the rear wing of it:wacko: phoned the dealer instantly and just handed the phone over to the k**b to have a nice chat with them...

Did you put the courtesy car on your own insurance or the dealer's. If dealer's, did they have a huge excess?

Hi Ordi. I was covered on the dealers insurance. As the accident was not my fault I did not have to pay the 500 pound excess.:icon_thumright:
They also said it would not affect any no claims discount on my own insurance...
