i had originally posted this problem a week ago but had no joy so since I've contacted dension support who have been totally useless and gave me no tech assistance what so ever. I'm thinking about returning the unit to them for a full refund but id much rather get the unit to work, hence why I'm asking for help...

I have brought a dension pro bt GWP1AC1 for my 2011 A3 with concert radio, however I'm having problems with the dension unit itself and I'm not sure if i need to try and find someone with VCDS to recode my car? or if theres another problem?

The problem I'm having is that when i select cd on my stereo its just still going into aux instead of going into
cd changer
mode and selecting my dension unit as i believe the unit should. when I've got my iPod plugged into it I'm getting the white dension log on the screen on the iPod so something is working, I've also tried a usb stick with music on but its not reading that either. Also when the unit is connected I'm loosing all control of my radio steering wheel stereo controls
I'm able to connect my phone to the unit via bluetooth for calls only but its not playing music via bluetooth either.

anywayone have any ideas before I'm forced to return the unit? any help is appreciated

not sure if this is just me being stupid but I've just noticed the box says GWP1AC1 but on the dension unit it says GWPC12B, does that possibly mean its the wrong unit?

I can't help but can say I had a dension for about a week until I binned it (sold it on)! Terrible product in my eyes. Got an AppRadio 2 instead ;)

ha thanks for the advice, thats my fall back to just get an app radio instead, what did you go for? I'm going to give this one more go before i totally give up on it

pretty sure I've now found the problem, appears to be a dodgy connection where the loom plugs into the dension unit, although cant figure out which wire it is but will now be returning the unit. do i ask for a replacement or shall i bite the bullet and just upgrade my head unit?

I'd ask for a replacement, then you can at least sell it on! I've got the AppRadio 2, had it for almost two years and it hasn't let me down!
