S3 - Take delivery or not take delivery that is the question !

I ordered in December !! So what's a few more weeks haha

The garage has been a labour of love mate - I bought the flooring 6 year ago and I may finally get it layed in the next few weeks :)

It is a lovely garage, I remember going in there to collect the BBS's😀
Congratulations on the impending arrival Paul, I know I couldn't wait till September!

Lovely looking garage !!

Impressive garage mate, wait would kill me though, minedue I've been waiting since April and got wait until November.

^ I just have no idea how you are managing to cope waiting for your car this long.

It'll be a 15 reg by the time you collect it ;)

Being honest, its a month. you've got it to look forward to and good things come to those who wait :)

Just a wild guess, but I suspect the Nogaro Blue S3 belongs to someone on here....... :p

(and there's you being an Exclusive Paint expert :p )

At first glance that looked like Sprint Blue. Would be interesting to see the two side by side if you get a chance to grab a photo

Yes, it's hard to tell from that photo !

We need more photos !!!1111!!ELEVEN!!

My favourite Audi blue, hands down, is Racing Blue Mica. I think I would pay the £2k exclusive for this !

I'm in the same boat as you, dealer confirmed it had been built last Friday, meaning after circa 3 weeks shipping it will arrive early August! I think I shall wait until the 1st September as the dealer throws a party and let's you drive the cars out at midnight!

Sounds cool, which dealer is that?

Ah right - with you. I've seen the odd car fully wrapped on the back of transporters etc

But this is "just an a3" ;) nothing exotic - plus the Eco - less plastic warriors would have a baby if they wrapped then fully

Would be nice.

Any damage the dealer monkeys do will be corrected in the first week or so of me having it anyway before it's protected with gtechniq or similar so I'm not worried :)

You only get full body transit covers if you buy a more expensive Audi. Not a mere A3 or S3 variant !!

You applying the gtechniq products yourself?

I'm not sure - I could do as I'm fairly confident I could and have seen it done a couple of times and its fairly straightforward and is all down to the prep and cure times etc. The issue being if the car needs any defect correction which I wouldnt tackle myself.

You taking it down to Chris at TDi?

Again Paul - not sure, I've spoken to another local detailer and had a quote which appeared good value.

I'm in a similar boat to yourself really, do they sell a kit or is it just a combination of various products?

They sell all the products on line mate. The C1 used to be a 'dealer only' product but I've checked recently and it looks like they've changed that.

Nanotechnology Coatings For Automotive Surfaces | Car Sealants

Still in 2 minds - I'd like the satisfaction of doing it myself but like I say depends on if any correction is needed.
