Can all attendees of the meet at Belfast Audi please leave some feedback for me to pass onto Richard Eakin. He was kind enough to let us have your launch meet there and some feedback be most appreciated. Just a few words to say thank you and let Richard know what you thought about the tour, the staff and the experience.

I personally wish to thank Richard for allowing you all to see the dealership, how things work behind the scene that the public dont get to see. Very much appreciated Richard and thank you to yourself and all your staff for allowing members of audi-sport.net to visit.

I just wanted to thank everyone involved in arranging the tour yesterday.

I'd only been to Audi Belfast once before and only got as far as the parts department. I found the tour was very interesting and was surprised at how much we actually got to see. It was obvious that Patrick was very proud to work there.

The building itself was extremely impressive and seemed very well designed and fluid. I couldn't believe how busy the place was either but it was interesting to see how technology is used in there to try to keep everything running efficiently.

I just wish Cafe Quattro was open so I could have sampled one of those £2 frys!!

I've only a few pics but I'll fire them up on the forum in the next day or two.

Firstly I would just like to say a big thank you to Sandra for organising the tour with Belfast Audi in what can only be described as a fantastic day. :icon_thumright:

I purchased my A4 from Belfast Audi but I had only seen the showroom and sales area so for me this was a great experience to get seeing behind the scenes!

When we all arrived at Audi we were made to feel very welcome and we were introduced to Richard (Managing Director) and different members of staff along with Patrick (Parts Manager) who was our tour guide.

The tour commenced with a detailed explanation of the design concept behind the building, and the fact that part was modelled on a German race course side embankment and that the lights represented cats eyes.

We then moved throughout the whole building exploring and understandingthe daily processes involved in providing a first class service to Audi customers.

Patrick was very informative and answered any questions which were asked, we then received tea/coffee before Patrick came out to view our own Audis.

We had a good turnout for our first meeting and having it at such an amazing dealership was something special for Audi drivers, we received an invitation back at any time and I am sure we will be back in the future.

Thank You Belfast Audi.
Shaun

I've spent a few Saturday mornings in Belfast Audi over the last few months and this was one of the most enjoyable ones!

We kicked off with a meet and greet where we got to meet Richard. Having talked to him on the phone, it was good to put a face to the name, so to speak.

The tour was very interesting and Pat really knows his way around the building. We found him interesting, informative and knowledgeable. It's good to have made that contact in the Parts Department!

I expected a half to 3/4 hour tour around the 'safe' areas, but two hours later, we were still finding nooks and crannies of interest. There was no problem with us wandering away to look at interesting things or have a look around the cars sitting on ramps in the workshop. Pat showed us just about every aspect of the business from initial sales to the staff canteen. We definitely needed that coffee at the end!

All in all a very interesting morning, even my wife and the boys were entertained by it. Our youngest found some really, really wide tyres on a rack in Parts and correctly guessed they were for the rear of an R8... he checked in the showroom ;-)

The only criticism that I would have is that the tour should be offered to new owners. It is well worth seeing.

So, all in all, I think we had a very successful first meeting.
A big thanks from us to the organising Team and to Belfast Audi for opening their doors to us.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Belfast Audi for their wonderful hospitality, we were greeted with a very warm reception and the tour was indeed very interesting and in depth.

A Special thanks goes out to Pat McKeown, what a gentleman and a very knowledgeable guy. He headed the tour showing us every feature and aspect of the dealership. It was clear he was very passionate about the Audi brand and very proud of what Belfast Audi have achieved in a very short time frame.

We also met Richard Eakin (MD) but only very briefly, seemed to be a nice guy but i would have liked to have had a more in-depth conversation with him.

I would like to thank the guys for showing us around on a very personal and informal level. The design of the showroom, i was particularly inspired by, from the sci-fi exterior to the race track interior, it is art at its finest. Audi really have left no stone unturned, they have looked at every possible aspect of a customers needs and expectations and compiled it under one roof.

I have never seen such a personal customer experience from an automotive manufacturer, Audi is an expensive brand but i'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Every characteristic of the dealership just oozed premium quality, the atmosphere was very relaxed, all staff members were very well spoken, engaging and helpful.

The only criticism (if you can call it that) was our tea/coffee were served in paper disposable cups, not huge issue but compared to the refreshments i received in Bavarian BMW, it left a lot to be desired. This though, is a very trivial thing considering that everything else was bang on the money.

All in all, i left the dealership extremely impressed and a bit of a fanboy if im honest. We were very openly invited back for future meets to which we will gladly accept and they said they would be very accommodating to our Audi club in terms of discount, which is very much appreciated.

I look forward in having future dealings and events with Belfast Audi, a relationship that will hopefully flourish, benefiting both our members and the dealership themselves.

Finally i would like to thank our regional members who took the time out of their busy schedules to join us for our very first meet, there would have been no meet without you guys, so yeah, thanks :)

Onwards and upwards now, stay tuned and we will have details on our next meet very soon.

Aaron

It was great to meet some of the people on the forum which was made even better by the hospitality given to us by Belfast Audi. Pat was genuinely interested and gave a thoughtful, well laid out and informative brief, I could have bored him to death all day long asking him questions and I don't think there is anything he doesn't know, that is refreshing, as in my experience with many Audi dealerships that a lot of the employees do not know much about the marque they are in. I said I a few times on the day but this is by far the best, no outstanding Audi dealership I have been to. It was a great pleasure and really indoctrinated us into the Audi family. Thanks again for everyone that helped made the day run so smoothly ( dare I say it German or should I say Northern Irish ;) )

Further more the front car park being empty so we could take a few snaps and then a nice chat with another employee who was a "gear head" it's rare these days and will definitely ensure I stay Audi for life. Ps. Please can audi book the sunshine next time, thank you.

Cheers

Alex

Thank you all for the feedback, much appreciated. This has been passed to Belfast audi. Im glad you all enjoyed the experience. :) x

Sandra, would be good for us to have some feedback from Richard as well. Did you get to speak to him?

We chatted to Pat about parts, he offered discounts and they also do Ebay.
Tell me to ****** off if I'm overstepping the mark here. but it might prove useful, conflits of interest permitting, to pursue having one of the staff there on the forum?

Like I was saying to you at the meet Steve it would be fantastic to have the guys at Belfast Audi on board with us.

I'm going to be in contact again with Pat towards the end of the week regarding some parts I'm looking so I'll mention to him about the possibility of having them as a site sponsor. I'll be speaking to Richard too so I'll put our request forward to him

Great photos people, So glad i made it inbetween shifts in work, So much better than sleep! lol

I was surprised we got to see so much and so indepth! I thought at most we'd have gotten to see of the workshop from outside the doors/threw windows or from likes of the balcony...but to basically walk round the work shop between the staff etc As well as the same in EVERY other area it was great! Thanks to all involved with making it happen! And also to Audi Belfast for having us! Defiantly made me feel more confident about purchasing/servicing a car from Audi Belfast, were as before i would have tarnished all garages with the same brush.

Its fantastic to see you on here Pat, thank you for having us. It was such an eye opener to see what goes on behind closed doors in operating a premium brand dealership. We all had a fantastic time and cant wait to return back to the dealership for another group event :)

Guys i was speaking to Pat today, he said he loved the site and is really keen to get involved personally with us and the site, so that is fantasic news. What more could you ask for? :) I also mentioned to him about the possibility of having Belfast Audi as a site sponsor, he was very interested. He said he will have a chat with Richard about it.

He has mentioned that he wants to get us back down to the dealership for a coffee morning event very soon, he also mentioned about using their Boardroom projector screen to play a film showing the heritage of Audi.

Im very excited about Pat's event proposal and we will hopefully, all being well, get this organised in the next month :)

Will be speaking to him again on Tuesday as i have to call into the dealership and collect a part that I've ordered.

Good to read that you be going back to Belfast audi.
Pat, welcome to audi-sport.net. Thank you for giving the boys such a fantastic tour. Look forward to seeing you around the forum. :) x

Apologises for being late, as others have said, thanks to all who organised and made the Audi meet in Belfast possible. This was my first meet of any sort so was great to meet such a great bunch of people. Also the hospitality shown by Belfast Audi was second to none.

I wasn't to sure what to expect from the tour, but Patrick and everyone we spoke to were very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions we had. The amount of time and effort put into the tour and information that Patrick gave us was very refreshing.

Look forward to many more events.

Here's a selection of photo's from the day, no comparison to the others though :p - https://plus.google.com/photos/100059866342267733706/albums/6042615735259613073

So i was back in again with Pat this evening, collecting a part that i had ordered. Whilst i was talking to him in his office a nice young lady came over and offered me tea/coffee, so i got brought back a nice mug of tea and a small pastry. I do feel bad now mentioning the disposable cups before as this dealership really does deserve all the credit it has received.

Had a nice chat again with Pat, talking about the tour we had and about possible future events with Belfast Audi. He mentioned again about the film we could watch.

As you can imagine this is something i am very excited about getting involved in as a group :)
