Guys,

Anyone experienced a sunroof rattle on these cars yet?

Had a rattle in my sunroof a while back. If it's the same problem I had, Audi said it was a 'common' and 'known' fault that they dealt with if/when it arose. My rattle was towards the rear of the sunroof, along the edge. Sometimes it was more of an annoying 'flutter' than a rattle. It was intermittent and nothing in particular seemed to set it off.

Left my car with them for a couple of days while they took out the lining and replaced some inadequate plastic brackets with more substantial purpose built metal parts.

No problems since.

Cheers, Paul.

No sunroof rattle, but something in my drivers side door area that rattles quite annoyingly over bumps and unsmooth road. Can't tell where it's coming from. It's one of those hard to track. Could be the seatbelt harness area?

That's what i thought i had, but it ended up coming from the sunroof area. The plastic on the edges.

Hmm. That's interesting. On the inside of the car I'm guessing? I'll take a look at mine tonight.

Mine rattles towards the rear of the roof on the passenger side. If I tilt the roof just a tiny bit, the noise vanishes.

I don't know. Mine didn't rattle today at all haha. And even if it did, it's for sure not from the sunroof area.

Maybe it's just my brain rattling in my head. It was quite chilly yesterday AM. It seems to be far more pronounced when it's colder.

So after further inspection, mine sounds more like a creak...or like someone crumpling up a piece of paper.

I don't know if I'm going to bother. Most dealers down here in Oz could give a rats **** about fixing issues like this.

Nice helping of silicone spray would fix mine.

Around the rails and inner trim. Be sure to cover the seats with a cloth to avoid them being sprayed to.
Then cycle the roof fully a few times.

I'm not entirely sure if it's my sunroof. Sounds more door/seatbelt area to me.
