The union is weeping one side of my brembos. One side the union that the hose connects to doesn't wind the whole way in, and there is some thread showing but doesn't leak. The other has winded in the whole way in to the shoulder of the union but is weeping. I need to look and see if its been drilled and tapped in further for some reason, but not sure if is should be using some sort of ptfe or liquid sealant?Thoughts?

One of the cross overs or bleed nipples? Have you just gone the fit them? Its usual just a compression seal.
I has it been over tightened? What type of fitting is it?

Not cross overs because they are junior gt's, and the nipple is fine, its the union that connects to the hose, which goes to the inner arch. I haven't over tightened them personally.

So you mean the brake line itself. They defo the same type of line? Seeing the one in further is leeking?
have you tried nipping it?
its a normal 10mm male fitting not a banjo ?

Oem style sorry. Mine arent like that

Exactly what i have, the right angled bit connects to the union which comes with the hoses.

Sounds like its been drilled/tapped deeper like you say, maybe a repair at some point?

It seals on a conical seat at the bottom of the threads, the threads are just mechanical, they're not intended to be a fluid seal, so using PTFE or loctite is not the correct solution here!

Yeah kinda what I was guessing aragorn. I'l pull the union out tomorrow and check the seat is present, and in which case find a longer union. There was some sort of 'crap' on the threads of the old unions i replaced with bills (same length) so wasn't sure if there was supposed to be something there or not.

How does it look compared to the other caliper?
Mine arent like that im starting to wonder if they are wrong!? Lol

Just been out and checked, i've got it the wrong way round. Maybe just needs nipping up a bit more then, as there is a bit of thread left to go. I'l check theres no crap in there.

Sorry for being rubbish guys :(

Pmsl hahaha.
Well hopefully an easy fix!!!
Been on ebay trying to find you a longer coupler!!
Defo want to look into mine now, meant to be fitted this week!!

Might be worth running a tap or thread chaser down the thread to clean out any alloy corrosion rather than trying to force the union in and stripping the threads?

Exactly my intention! I'l report back this afternoon :)

Hi Rhinopwer ,
I have junior gts on my S3 too , spoke to a brembo specialist when i first got them and was told that the bleed nipple at
the top of the caliper is exactly the same thread as the union for the bottom also made of harder material . So you can chase out or
clean the thread using the bleed nipple , maybe worth a try mate ,
