Econ Light Always on & Faults

I had the same problem, with the econ light always on. I didn't scan the car.
But I changed the g65 sensor and that seemed to cure the problem and the econ light went off.

G65 sensor. Common as muck.

Hmm, not sure.

Personally I'd fit a new G65 Sensor, clear all faults in memory.

Give it a couple of days/journeys and see if anything re appears.

I also had the ECON light stuck for maybe half a year. When the summer came, i got into a ac garage. I had the car regassed. But still the econ light was on. They plugged in vagcom and it said that i had a g65 sensor failure. I then bought the pressure sensor from ebay for about £25. After a week, it arrived, then easily pulled out the old g65 and installing the new. Took me about 2 min doing that. I then tested this right away. The ECON is still stuck. Went back the the garage, and they diagnosed the car. The g65 was fine, and didnt have any pressure sensor fault code. But got a new fault, I then had a g238 failure. Bought a new one, plugged the new one in. But still ECON stuck. I am going to the garage on monday, and have the fault code remove. Hopefully it will work

my sensor was open circuit, cant wait to fit the new one and get A/C back on!!
