We're heading down Yorkshire for the Tour de France in July and I want to take three mountain bikes with us. Has anyone attempted fitting roof bars to an 8V 3 door? Thule have suitable ones on their website, just wondering if anyone has tried it. Also, am I likely to get three bikes on the roof?

I'm having the same dilemma, should be no problem with three bikes on the roof. But what bars to go for....

I'm thinking Thule Wingbars. At almost £400 for the bars and three bike carriers though they're certainly not cheap!

Haven't checked out the likes of Mont Blanc yet though

Just thought I'd update this in case anyone else is after any.

In the end I opted for Cruz Airobars and Cruz bicirack cycle carriers from Roofbox.co.uk.

The roof rack is well made and reassuringly solid. The bike racks are cheap (£3.33 each as part of the package) however, and make lots of clunking noises. I've sacked them off and ordered some Thule Proride 591's instead.
