Wiring up aftermarket stereo

Also would the steering wheel controls still work ?
And would the aux port by my cigarette lighter need to be rewired ?

I hope I'm over thinking this !

Hi, the lead looks to be correct for you're car judging by the avatar but this isn't a stalk adaptor. Steering wheel controls will work if you buy a stalk adaptor and provided you get the correct patch lead and that your stereo is steering wheel control compatible too. As for the aux, that won't work unless you're prepared to cut the existing OEM loom and patch it into a normal aux cable which will feed into whatever aux input the stereo has.

also is your car bose or standard?

Thanks Sidhu88 !
Iv been thinking of installing a single din stereo with Bluetooth in the glove box and then making a Facia in the dash for an iPad mini. That's why I wanted to retain the steering wheel controls for the volume.

There are other options. I know studioincar have done some full installs using ipads and mosconi or audison bit ten signal processors. It'd probably be cheaper going down the headunit in the glovebox and ipad route compared to using a good DSP. Theres a fair few half width stereos on the market at the moment aswell. They tend to be digital mechless head units.
