Nope, pre 31st March 2001 is engine sized based only and is currently £230. 225bhp model wasn't available that early so your options are a 210bhp pre-facelift or a 210bhp facelift. I have the latter.
The tax rules changed in March 2001, when the Y plate came out so you are in the slightly higher bracket Moisty. It's only up to and including an X plate that benefit from the non-emissions based tax.
And I've just noticed the change occurred on the 1st March (i.e. to coincide with the Y plate) and not 31st March as I'd said in my first post.
So anything up to and including an X plate will be £230 a year based upon having an engine size greater than 1.5 litres, anything Y plate and beyond is emissions based.
