Hi guys right 6 months ago I had my car in for egr delete and remap and few other mods...

We deleted the egr all fine and we blocked the flexi pipe by the throttle body.... However the flexi has now cracked and puts the car in limp mode.... So my question now is where should I have blocked it off and also can the whole rest of the system be deleted now and if so do I need any other parts to Do so??

OK for anyone with the same issue when fitting the egr delete we just used the metal pipe off that runs from the egr cooler to the egr....

However you can see in the below pic it fractured and I then snapped it out to get it out easier.....

So after noone responded on here I decided to look out on Google for some diagrams to which I found this one which shows the route of the pipework....

So best way forward if you are going to not delete the cooler would be not to use the flexi as a blank use the face that the flexi goes to on the cooler..... Say number "13"on said diagram.....

For that you'll need a number of tools... But here's a basic guide....

Remove the airbox and pipes upto the turbo, unbolt the flexi pipe, unbolt the gear linkage and bracket and move it all out the way. Unbolt the cooler pipework from the rad pipes.... With this you can move the cooler pipe out the way and gain access to the egr bolts (altho you need hands of a 5 yr old).... Unbolt them remove the metal pipe retain the gasket and use the blanking plate and gasket on the egr cooler.... Then put it all back together..... Took me about 2 hours this morning so allow for at least that if not another hour if you need to fit the actual egr delete pipe.... Have a good range of tools too....
