Evening all.

Got in the car just now and noticed that my screen didn't pop up so couldn't operate the radio etc.

I'll probably take it in to the dealer but has anyone had this issue?

I imagine it's a fuse that I could probably replace.

Yeah had same issue with my 1.4 when I first got it. Audi fitted new screen under warranty.

That's a pain in the ****! At least it's under warranty. How long did they have the car for mate?

3 or 4 days, most of that was waiting for the parts. I'd imagine it'll have to be ordered in like mine did, make sure you check the fitment is perfect mine had to be adjusted as it didn't quite shut properly when screen was closed. Talking millimetres but you want it right

I went out this morning with the intention of resetting it but it had fixed itself over night.

Car must have been tired from all the hooning! : )

I had the same issue a few months ago after a coffee stop on the way back from Scotland when the screen would not come up. Real pain as I was using the sat nav at the time!

I phoned my dealer who advised me to park up with everything off for at least 20 minutes to allow it to reset itself. I did this and it has worked fine since!

There are people on this forum who would pay for their screen to remain down ......... :p

I've had this occasionally, sometimes I get in the car and it's up yet off or stays down with the radio on, holding the power down on the volume switch for a few seconds to turn the radio off usually cures, hold down until "entertainment off" displays them turn it back on?

Not sure on the cause but being a big long legged dude I have occasionally hit the power button with my left thigh getting in/out of the car.

My screen got stuck while trying to rise this morning

Had to do a few on/off cycles before it freed itself.

Seems a bit 'slow' and 'sticky' to rise now.
Probably needs lubrication as per this post:
