HI guys,

Had my very handy and friendly cash in hand VW out of home mechanic (Same guy who does all my work) put in the relentless down pipe and de-cat, the latest version with the cut out flange to avoid hitting the manifold. Typical subframe down, drive shaft hanging, cut the oem down into lots of small pieces install, but the new pipe itself? Absolutely perfect, getting everything out was hard, plus I was freaking out about fitment issues of the new product since its very hard to find a success story on this mod, BUT! the new pipe was like a firkin glove, all holes lined up absolutely perfectly, the decat pipe was completely spot on in length to attach to the coupler of the rest of the stock 2.5 (3" being fabricated next week!) So just for anyone who wants to know, the newest relentless down pipe and decat fits 100% utterly perfectly! Got mine off ebay delivered for $300.

Another +1 for relentless

I've had the downpipe and sport cat fitted now for about 6 months, I uprated the dog bone mount to the red powerflex version and the downpipe hasn't rattled once.

Now that my MOT is done for the year I've decided to go for a decat, great services as always.. Took 2 days to arrive after payment.

It's definitely transformed the car fitting this downpipe, opened the car up ready for further modifications.

Relentless if you're reading the forums keep up the great work, It's great to see companies pushing the boundaries when it comes to modifying cars - stage 2 / stage 2+ S3s wouldn't be the same without them!

Russwuss can you point me in the right direction as to where I can get the relentless down pipe and sports cat please mate.

Cheers for that mate. I've just about got a Facebook account. Lol. Will send him a message.

Another +1 on this from me. I fit the latest downpipe and decat to mine last weekend, was a complete mare of a job! I would definitely recommend cutting the old downpipe out, I left it as one unit for fear of having to refit it and it was a complete pita to remove. The new downpipe slide in no problem, fits perfect and I absolutely LOVE the noise of the decat!! seems to spool up alot faster aswell so happy days :)
Only one issue I have got is that the decat seems to hang quite alot lower than the old cats did, as my car is already low I had to raise it a bit to prevent the pipe scraping on speed bumps. Has anyone else had this issue or is there something I've missed?

What tools are required to change this? Is it a DIY job if handy with tools. Or is a ramp required for access.
