Locked keys in my S3!

I've had a nightmare! I have locked my keys in my S3 the bonnets open but the cars locked itself! Is there any way of opening the car with the bonnet open or am I gunna have to call a locksmith?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh no,

Can you not get hold of your spare key ?

Are you a member of the AA or have a passenger that is, call them out and they should be able to get into your car.

I very cleverly keep my keys all on the same keyring as my cars sorn'd at the moment my sister has AA with home start so they're on the way! Ha!

All sorted! I wasn't even going anywhere just wanted to take it up and down the parents drive to clear its throat a bit. I had put the keys in the ignition but the battery was dead so popped the bonnet and shut the door then the ****** auto lock triggered! Doh!

Luckily as I left the key in the ignition with the ignition on all the AA man had to do was wedge the door open a few mm and then he was able to hook the window switch!

Iam rofl at this......... It has happened to me once though so I'm allowed to laugh!

I had a ****ty civic with an aftermarket toad alarm that did the same thing when I had a flat battery :-(

PHEW!!!

How did the auto lock trigger though?

I thought it only triggered if the alarm is disarmed and the door is not opened in 60 seconds?

I'm not sure mate it might be something to do with the dead battery? It might of even locked as I connected the starter pack?

Mine did the same mate! I hadn't connected the battery correctly.. left keys in ignition, opened the bonnet, messed around with the battery then the car locked itself and the wind blew the door shut.... luckily not shut fully, Dad managed to get in with a bucket handle - surprising well
