Spotters Thread For 8V Chassis

Getting pretty common now!!! ......along with mine I spotted a dolphin grey sport SB and Glacier white s-line SB in the same row, and within 5 cars of each other, in an Enfield retail park around 3.30. - 4pm today

Spotted my first S3 in the flesh this week at the gym. Phantom Black SB. Was just parking up and thinking I'd have a sneaky peek through the window (in passing), but the owner came out and got in so I thought it best not to :)

Will have to get there earlier next time as I could tell from the headrests it had SSS, which I haven't actually seen yet. Hopefully he won't come out to find me with my nose pressed up against the window :)

Cheers.

Estoril blue sportback S3 spotted tonight in stalybridge, very nice.

Spotted my first S3 this week. Looks like a neighbour 5 doors down has bought one!
Estoril sportback, aluminium roof rails, red/black seats, private plate, Xenons.
Any claimers?
(I take back all snide thoughts I had about roof rails - they look lovely!)

Saw my first S3 Sportback the other week on Mother's Day. 14 plate, Glacier White, in Renishaw Derbyshire, heading towards Eckington. I followed it on the same route for a little while. Looked awesome!

Spied a black s3 in Dundee just at the Tay bridge, only the second one I've seen

I've only seen one on the road, but I've seen it a few times, Estoril 3dr near Lamberhurst,Kent.

Grey, Daytona I think, A3 Saloon TFSI in Weston Favell area of Northampton.

Mine is still the only Saloon I've seen on the road.

Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire area

Spotted my first A3 8V cabrio today.

White with reg ending LVC. Three Mile Cross near Reading.

Looked sweet

John.

They are..even the less common colours. I've seen two other shiraz red A3s in my neck of the woods. However both were either SE or sport (so I'm still feeling exclusive there)

8V "Cabriolet!" :D In glacier going the opposite way outside the excel centre today while I was leaving the Grand Design show.

So walking back home in the rain and I hear a familiar sound... Black Audi s3.... Considering it's the first I've seen since I got mine almost 2 weeks ago, I had to take a glance at the plate and feel for my keys to make sure it wasn't mine lol.

Plate started AE63, spotted around Euston road/Camden (London)

Must admit its louder than I thought from outside... Not that I get to hear it from outside :D lucky pedestrians

The grey S3 sportback on the A120 heading east, this Saturday morning, reg number actually began with "S3_____" driving at ridiculous speed... I was doing just under 80 in the firms A4 allroad and you went past me like I wasn't even there. 140mph? More? I think so. Essex Police patrol that road with an unmarked 3 series and an unmarked motor bike - I just hope you get caught and lose your licence before someone gets killed. Utter Dickhead.

Is it just me or have the 3 door and 5 door 8Vs suddenly become really quite common over the past month or so?

This wasn't me and I do think it's way too fast to be driving on public roads, however I am curious to how it sounded at 140 on full coal??

Yep, shiny new '14 plate 2.0 TDI s-line in Daytona and with aluminium roof rails in the work car park today

UPDATE: and even more common this morning when the 2 Daytona s - lines were joined by a certain Joetidman's black S3 saloon

Saw my first saloon today on the a12, dark blue mettalic. Was being a bit naughty weaving in and out of the traffic and undertaking...

63 plate black S3 Sportback driving over the M4 junction from Royal Wootton Bassett heading in to Swindon. Lovely car.

Has any one driven behind an S3 when it's giving it some beans? It's actually fairly loud!

Not been behind one as 12 months of looking and still not seen one on the road. Smile on some people's faces behind me suggests it can be heard when peddle pressed tho'!

It's one of two I have seen in 7 months of actively looking! The other was a Misano red SB in a lay-by.

It's quite loud and makes a nice growl when up shifting from behind. Only issue for me when I drive mine is that already had two **** holes get right up behind me trying to race. Corsa VXR and A5 Sportback TDI. Really? Probably the most satisfying thing about the S3 is foot down and just pull away! No need to get involved!

Saw a grey S3 today on the Northwich bypass, turning off towards Middlewich, didn't really get a chance to follow it though.

Monsoon s3 lunchtime today in Tunbridge Wells ?GN14 ***, with roof bars looked better than I thought they would.

Second one I've seen round there, must be the place for them!!

Nice Gunmetal colour S3 behind me on the road from Ashbourne to Buxton last Sunday morning, it did sound nice as it accelerated away as I turned off. Any one on here?

Keep seeing a grey 5dr SB in Witney and he always has a good look at my Saloon.

Someone on here?

Still yet to see another Saloon on the road. Can't be the only one in West Oxfordshire

You might see one soon, I'll be knocking around Witney at the end of the month, family do.
