Looking to fit down pipe today, it looks a complete nightmare!

Any tips?

take engine cover off and you can access the 4 nuts buy leaning over, i did it yesterday its not that bad you can get 2 no probs but you will need extension bars to get the back 2 so your rachet is just above the gearbox

soak nuts with WD40 or something first as they can snap

I done my S3 a few weeks ago
I undone the propshaft at the front and dropped the centre prop mount.
Removed the bolt for the rear gearbox mount which made it easier but it's still tight to get out.
Wouldn't like to refit the original

Got it fitted, bit of a ball ache but worth it in the end. Wouldn't like to fit on the floor!

Car drives so much nicer.

I done mine on the floor and it was pretty difficult to get out.
The rest of it is pretty easy as all the bolts are accessible

Pain in the hoop. I managed mine JUST on the 4 post ramp but didn't drop the prop or remove the gearbox mount or bolt.

How you got the cat/front pipe out without disconnecting prop is a mystery! I had to disconnect prop and gearbox steady and was still tight coming out!

Me too I couldn't see anyway of getting it out without dropping the prop and pushing the engine forward

Where there is a will there is a way. Removing the old one was the easier bit. The blueflame DP had a larger flange so that was interesting!!

Did it on stands in the drive, bit of head scratching before removing the prop tho.
