I thought I'd say hello. Trading in our 8P3 S3 tomorrow for a TTS.
Will be hovering about this section now trying to find information and helping with queries where I can.
Will post a quick picture tomorrow but nothing decent until I give it a full detail(which will be about 3 weeks away)

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know some of you guys.

Too many S3's about now. Time to sell when you start seeing yobs driving the early ones about.
My wife has wanted one for a while now, she wins.
I got myself a Leon Cupra R so she could get a TTS.

Cupra R Mk1 or 2?

TTS should be a bit lighter and more agile, look forward to the pics.

Wife picked it up this morning. Needless to say, she's over the moon!!

How does this compare to the S3? I've been looking at S3's for a while but I'm starting to really like the TTS.

No regrets in getting rid of the S3?
 
TTS is light years better than the S3 to drive!
No regrets selling the S3 what so ever!
 
Treated the car to some 19's, std 18's did nothing for the looks WHAT SO EVER!

Thanks for the comments, over the moon with the looks now.
Still half thinking about fixed spoiler to finish it off but worried it will be too TT-RS look-a-likey.
I don't do look-a-likey!!
 
Get the fixed wing on! I had a carbon one fitted to mt TTS and it looked the Biz.... I love the colour tttooo
I just PX'd for the New 8V S3 and I love it...... The TTS feels Fast where the S3 feels slower...... but look down and boy is it shifting!

I had the S3 and then went to a TTS black edition s tronic. Slightly quicker, obviously less practical but much better looking. Fuel consumption pretty awful compared to the S3 and I would say the S3 handled better. The mag ride was dreadful - inconsistent ride and in the wet, very jittery. The 'sport' setting just made the car uncomfortable, it did nothing to improve the handling. TTS has the better interior and build quality fairly even. S3 seats were better than the TT, for me anyway. What else, oh, servicing costs were a lot more than the S3 and tyres were a grand a time, almost twice the cost for my S3 that run on 18" rims, not 19's of course. All in all, I had a good time with my TTS and went on to get a TTRS. But on reflection, looks aside (as the TTS is a very good looking car, let's face it) in some ways the S3 was the better car IMO. Now in a 8v S3, which is quite a step up from either of the hot TT's. Should bode well for the new TTS due out next year... hope that gives some perspective from an owner of both cars.
