Modifying my 1.6 A3

Hi Guys and Girls

Completely new here

I recently brought my first Audi and am feeling to change it up a little bit

I'm currently sorting out some mechanical issues with the car but was just wondering if anyone on here has had this model before and what you've done to it

Its a 2005 1.6 A3

Any feedback would be great

Research the votex kit for the car or maybe even a 2006/07 s-line facelift bumper upgrade.

Personally I wouldn't bother with any performance modifications a part from maybe suspension. Wouldn't be worth your while trying to get more power from the car, an exhaust would suffice.

What I was thinking of doing was lowering/rims/blacking out the badges and tinting.

I was considering either facelift or getting black grill surrounds?

Do you have a link to the vortex kit or is it just a simple google search?

And as far as the exhaust goes, do you mean a sports one or one of those bad boy huge ones?

Kinda new to this so my knowledge isn't that great

The likes of milltek, blueflame, supersprint etc... will make a cat back exhaust for your car.

Votex kit - just search, I believe they are discontinued by audi but the likes of ECS Tuning I think still offer the kit and check ebay too.

Look at my thread and I blackened the grills.

IMO the vortex kit looks crap.

Totally depends what you fancy and how much money you want to put into it but a few small, inexpensive mods such as interior LED bulbs (contact T8ups on here for those) and debadging are good bits to start with. Then I'd look into lowering it, maybe some nice wheels, MY09 or MY11 rear lights to freshen up the rear.

Whats your budget? Mine is a 2005 too and ive just done an s3 facelift bodykit conversion. Looks alot better than the votex kit but has cost me an arm and a leg lol

Hi guys sorry for no reply I've been I'll recently. I'm still currently in despite over a few things with the dealer who sold me the car, so modifying its on the back burner for now. I don't have a huge budget at all, it's quite small. I like the idea of a facelift maybe to a newer model spec as I've seen a honeycomb grill that I think looks great
