Dunno what has happened. Gutted with that :-( Anyone any tips on how to fix this?

Thanks.

Looks like air has got behind the paint. Might be worth using a pin and make a small hole then use something like like a credit card and gently try to force the air out. Worse case would be lightly sand them down a respray. My friend (guy below) has just has his respray due to them peeling, they look like new now.

Have you owned the car from new? A previous owner could of painted it badly or wrapped it?

I picked up an 8P the other week and asked the garage to spray my pillars as they were all peeled. Sun baked on. You can wrap it in vinyl, plastidip it or paint it again properly.

This would be the perfect time to swap them for gloss black pillars 😉

Every cloud!

Really appreciate the replies peeps, helps to put my mind at ease! Is this panel easily removed?? Thanks.

I have a feeling (from memory) that you might not want to know the answer to that. I hope it's not the case and I'm thinking about something else on the car, but I'm sure I read somewhere they are a b***h to take off and refit.

You can get it wrapped professionally in any colour you want and save having to drill out the rivets. There are some fantastic wrap products out there at the moment, but I'd go with a gloss black like the latest 8P's.

I don't think they are that hard to remove to be honest, it's just a case of drilling out the two rivets from behind the seal, wrapping it then re-fixing with new rivets. I'm sure there is a guide on here if you search it.

I could be wrong but that looks like a vinyl wrap anyway... That's how vinyl will lift off plus looks like there is lots of dust just above (looks like it's underneath?!

They are very easy to swap to black edition parts, I done mine a few weeks back.

1. Gently pull back door seal and drill the heads off the 3x pop rivets
2. Pull the side with the rivet hole about 2-3cms away from the body and carefully slide the panel towards the front of the car
3. Put some WD-40 or similar on the window rubbers and side strips to allow the new panel to slide into place and then pop some new rivets in.

Really is that simple

I think the black edition panels were £30-£40 each from TPS and the finish is perfect, I will post the part numbers when I get home if I remember

Not better to wrap at that price?

I've just bought some 3m 1080 G12 Gloss black wrap for 12.99 to do it myself!

Ye will do!

Do they just pop out with force or is there a certain way to get them out?

Look further up this thread, it tells you how to get them off. Basically rivets need drilling out before they come off.
