The headlamp washer pump(with headlights on) on my car comes on about 2 seconds after windscreen washers are activated but only pumps for about one and a half seconds, just enough for the jets to reach their full extent but not enough time to squirt water as well. I have put power directly to pump and it works fine(jets not blocked). Is there a timer in the system that can be fiddled with? Any advice would be much appreciated.Cheers Mal:thumbsup:

You need to take your pump out and see if it isn't cracked. Mine was making a sound when used but didnt even move the washers. When I took it out, it split in half. If the pump is cracked, it will not build enough pressure to spray headlights.

1.5 seconds should be fine. It only gives them a quick scoosh. I would have suspected air in the pipes, but if you've managed to make them squirt by applying power to the pump then I'm stumped.
