I got stuck changing a wheel in the rain. It took me about 3 times as long as normal because I wasn't used to the bells and whistles as compared with my Fiesta. Since I'm a scientist I took photos. Anyone who laughed at my keyless-entry video will laugh at this too, but I say bring it on :meeting:.

Here are the bits that were new to me:

...and yes, I labelled it as a locking nut instead of a locking nut key!

Ach, bawz. I forgot to take out the dodgy last slide that says 'but' instead of 'nut' when I replaced it with a new one. Ah well.

2 mins of my life I'll never get back!

Having yesterday had the need to use my space saver and then purchase a new tyre for the SECOND time since owning the car, I have to say the tools and kit that Audi give you for doing this task are all really nice. Had the wheel changed in 2 or 3 minutes and was on my way again, easy as pie!

I'd agree on everything except the jack - I found it took a wee bit of practice to get a smooth continuous rotation with that articulating joint, particularly when starting / finishing - my knuckles were getting precariously close to the ground!

Bad luck with the twice, eh?

Yeh, one got done in Wales (tiny road, large stone/rock) and one in Scotland (tiny road, pothole). Will just stay in England from now on! Both times I managed to get them replaced with the same make/model/variant of the tyre that came off which is good.

I had passengers both times actually and both times someone else did the jacking, so actually haven't had that knuckle grinding experience yet!

Learned something new from your video. I never knew what the plastic guide peg thing was before I watched your video.

Now I know it makes changing the wheel a breeze in the park!!
