s3 exhaust on 1.8t quattro

No it wont, the S3 system has the back box across the width of the car and the A3 along the length of the car, so the wheel well on the A3 gets in the way.

There are plenty of systems which wil give you the dual exit pipes that look just as good though....

I think it will, the reason for the S3's having a different exhaust is the 4WD gubbins which the quatty also has, I'm sure someone will be along soon with a more definate answer!

AS you have the quattro then your back end is basically the same as the S3, so you shouldnt have any problems fitting it.
Simply double check yourself by looking at your exhaust; it should be mounted across the width of the car.

By the way why do you wnat to put an S3 exhust on your car?? Are you getting it real cheap because if not then there are plenty of other ones out there if you want to blow some spare cash.

YES, it will fit, but with "Modification". First, you'll need an adaptor to get the std pipe from the cats up to the larger diameter of the S3 exhaust (IIRC 55mm to 65mm, I used a US 55mm O.D. to 2.5inch I.D.) This "method" will require use of BOTH factory exhaust clamps (A3 one to join Cat Pipe to adaptor, then S3 clamp to join adaptor and S3 exhaust). You'll need to shorten the S3 exhaust a bit to compensate for the adaptor's length. The right rear exhaust hangar will need to be switched out for an S3 one, and it'd be a good idea to get the S3 Rubber part for the middle hanger. Then there's the heat shield... I can't remember if the A3 heat shield will work with enough trimming or not, but I went ahead and bought an S3 heat shield instead. Then all you'll need to do is trim a bit of bodywork (Rear valance and some metal backing, not too serious) and it'll work /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
I wound up getting a few more HP out of it, but lost a few Nm of peak torque in the process (329Nm to 314Nm). All in all, since I got the damned thing for €125 I think it was worth it (for me) but that could be because I'm a stubborn @ss /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angel.gif

What I did was get all the parts together and after 2 or 3 unsuccessfull attempts to do it myself (followed by 2 or 3 trips back to Audi for new parts I discovered I needed) I finally went in to Oettinger and had them do it. A shop should have access to a saw that'll cut the S3 exhaust for you ALOT easier than with a hacksaw at home (Which took FOREVER and didn't accomplish much) and I also took comfort in the fact that if THEY screwed the rear valance up it was on them and not me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I agree with Drill ,i also have s3 milltek on my tq ,its just a pain to mess about with the heatsheild and brackets.It would be easier to get somebody to custom make a system so that it fits your heatsheild etc,but looks like a s3 one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gifAndy
