due to my badly scuffed and kerbed rs6 replicas, i'm getting some new wheels and have narrowed it dow to these two: rs4 or nuvolari reps - whadya all reckon?

Personally I prefer the RS4's for the Audi - smart wheel but sort of understated - the cleaner lines suit the clean lines of the car.

The Nuvolari's are a great looking wheel also but a bit 'blingy' for my liking.

Just me opinion.......

RS4 wheels do look good but I think the nuvolari reps will look a little different.

How badly kerbed are your RS6's? If you don't mind me asking.

all 4 pretty bad, (the score is 3-1 to my woman!)
i thought about getting them repaired but in honesty they arent the best replicas, plus my tyres are low and i fancy a change!

go for the nuvolari so we can see what they look like and then copy you /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ok, thanks. Really want to change my 17" Parabolics to some RS6's but the CC can't take the cost of new ones at the moment! Just ordered some new Vredestein ULTRACs to replace the Contis on the front.

I think they look the dogs bits!

Total = £ 385.00 if you keep your own tyres!

My mates just had four of these put on his TT. He seems to think they're quite good. I'll be monitoring his progress with them.

off subject i know, but the a3 above has the abt grill section, does anyone like it,or does it look to obvious,as the chrome trims stick out a bit,im not too sure,

wheels look good though?.

The UK distributer works in the same office as me and is constantly trying to get me to stick their bits on my car. The grill is the only bit I'm really tempted with but have the same concern as you.

not sure how much the abt is, but I think this is a much better route, althought it costs about £550 without VAT or paint. I am going to be the guinea pig for this next month, so will keep you updated

rochford do the nuvolari's with a 40 offset - what does this mean? no rubbing? how does the whole offset thing work?

Have a closer look:

And Awesome GTI Store are doing it for £130, but i take it the people with the old(er) style front end can't add this mod?? Clicky

Awesome are much cheaper for the front grille but the price including Vat and delivery is £163. Still better than the £165+Vat the distributors want to charge!

It's recommended you don;t go an further than a 45mm offset as you'll get rubbing issues. I'm running 42mm offset on my RS4 reps and so far no rubbing but I am changing the suspension on my car again to go lower so this may change.... (anyone want a set of 6 month old Eibach's drop me a pm) I don't think you would want to run 40mm offset...

mb's the man to speak to for eibachs,it depends if you go for the pro kit or sportlines,

im waiting on a reply from h&r regarding spring rates which should give me an idea of the ride, and they lower 35mm,as opposed to 30mm on the pro kit, which should lower the s-line by 15mm,dont want to go anymore than that realy,

vw driver did an artical on comfort orientated dampers by koni-www.koni-fsd.com,by the way?.

as for the abt grill, its just the chrome strips that stick out a bit, still not sure, although from head on it looks good.

Eibach's - would i get a softer ride or harder?

[/ QUOTE ]

The ride with the Eibachs is less choppy and more compliant than the S-line suspension. I can't comment on the sport or SE models.
