I know they are considered a bit naff, But, due to an old neck injury reversing sensors are a godsend to me. My Avant Sport is not fitted with any :(
What I would like to know, do the sensors fit a specific bumper with clips on the back?
Im assuming the avant bumpers are the same, just the lower section is different??

If I need a reversing sensor bumper, has anybody got one for the Avant, silver would be even better. ?????

I think that the oem hole markings might be on the rear side already

But I'm sure the companies which fit them do them oem style

Some aftermarket also come with displays or LCD markers too

Mines is a b7 a4, ive recently fitted a set of sensors off ebay to mine.Didnt even remove the bumper. Marked the holes and drilled through. The sensors just push in, run the wires to nearside there is a grommet to run the wires into the boot. mounted the control box there and ran the beeper to parcel shelf. Tapped the reverse light feed and earth from the taillight.
They work a treat only cost £20 off eBay with a 3 year warranty. After doing mine I fitted a set to my brothers b7, had them colour coded first by a local bodyshop for £20 first as his was dolphin grey. My car is black so I just bought the gloss black ones.

It took me no longer than an hour each time.
Quality is excellent I've had them on for around 5 or6 weeks and can highly recommend them. They fit nice and flush too.

item id on ebay 230384815553 thry were only £16.49

I fitted cobra 0258 parking sensors to mine.......just remove the rear bumper and there are pre determined marks on the back where you can drill.

Cobra 0158 are what Audi sell rebranded as a retro fit kit, but the 0258 versions have smaller outer casing and look more OEM.

Been debating these, got to have bumper re-sprayed anyway as goin for twin pipe,so whilst it's of get em fitted with. Loving the cobra ones on mikes, where they an easy fit?

Easy to fit........just a little nerve racking when you start drilling holes into a perfect bumper LOL

I done some research before buying mine I would either go for a Meta System Park Assist or Cobra System. There are already markings on the back of the bumper basically an X. I went for the Meta System and it does sound very OEM as well.

I would happily give you my reversing sensors if you could make the holes in my bumper heal up. Pain in the **** IMHO. Anyone know how to shut them up?

Well an option would be to buy a small fibreglass kit and then fibreglass the hole from the rear of thr bumper and then use a thin layer of filler then sand and paint. Not impossible its just fibreglass doesnt stretch so if it takes a minor hit unlike ABS plastic it will pop out or you can go the plastic welding route.
