That sounds about right if you ordered about 5 weeks after me and then a build week of approx 5 weeks later. My dealer told me a couple of weeks ago that if I ordered now I could potentially be looking at a 2015 delivery!

Sorry for delay in posting some pics. Best weather today since I got her so treated her to a wash a polish!
Very nice oufc1976. I'm thinking of that colour and wheel combo on an S3 sedan (sorry, saloon. I'm in Oz). Can't decide between Daytona grey, Misano red or Ice silver. I think the darker grey works well with the chrome trim and, on the S3, the light grey rear diffuser.

Peeb, Daytona Grey is such an awesome colour.
Looks stunning in the sun and the pictures don't really do it justice.
It also copes with dirt pretty well. Probably not as well as silver, but certainly better than white or black.

Glad it looks good in the sun. We get a fair bit of that where I live. Had 4 straight weeks above 40 degrees this year. The record is in the picture. Probably an over read of about 2 or 3 degrees.
The worst part is that you start to lose serious power over about 28 degrees ambient on the turbo engines. 15% was one estimate I heard.

Cripes! And we're being told that we'll see US cars around August, yet we can't place orders yet...
Dan But US cars are built the wrong way round because you drive on the wrong side of the road, so probably wouldn't be as limited as they are in the UK! Seems to be popular over here, although I've never seen a saloon on the road yet
Most annoying thing is I was initially told May/June build for a June/July delivery. Now I'm gonna miss the summer with the new toy. At least I'll still have the TT
Interesting thought. I think we're all competing for attention in Györ as saloon buyers, though- but I do wonder how that difference impacts you and me. I sort of suspect Audi of America has carved out a certain amount of Györ's attention at specific times to, quite basically, cut in line.
I think that the sedan in the US is called the 2015 A3 Sedan as in America they have this peculiar fashion of having the year deferred by one from the current year in which they are available, if that makes sense
I'm making an assumption that a predefined proportion of the assembly line is booked out as RHD cars for the UK, say 15%, and the remainder is for LHD for pretty much everywhere else. I have been told by a former Audi salesman that only a small proportion of the build slots can be allocated to a S vehicle. On a positive note, my wait means I will get a MY15 car, with whatever extras that brings!

How have you got yours so quickly? I ordered 3rd ha and my build week is the back end of may. My dealer told me that an s3 saloon was ordered a few weeks after me and they still haven't got a build week!
Ordered my A3 SB from Bexley Audi, they have a beautiful S3 saloon in Misano Red there at the moment!
Finally, collected my new A3 Sport 1.4 TFSI S-tronic saloon yesterday.....and I'm loving it......especially the 1.4 COD engine, standard SE suspension, Alcantara/leather seats and Monsoon colour.

The 1.4 COD is indeed a cracking engine. I was doing a 150 mile round trip yesterday mostly on dual carriageway. I did the first half in efficiency mode getting 41mpg at 70+mph then tried the return journey in dynamic also occasionally using paddle shift for gear changes, great fun and still maintained 41 mpg. I wonder if it worth using the efficiency mode again, only benefit is it only goes into coasting mode in this setting but is much less lively to drive with no apparent improvement in mpg.

It is good, I am looking forward to my round trip from the south east coast to north yorkshire in a couple of week time to really streatch its legs. Should take the overall mileage to over 1k as well...

I'd love an S3, but with 15-20k miles per year I think it will have to be a diesel again. Hopefully they'll bring out the 184 diesel FWD with s-tronic, not fussed about quattro.
Well, Well, my flirtation with a S3 Saloon didnât last long. Turns out the September build date I was given was not confirmed, and have been told today that I will not get a confirmed build date until July. Waiting 5 months just for a confirmed build date is taking the ****. Would then have to wait on the build and delivery, with a strong suggestion that I would actually get my hands on the car next year.
Had all the crap about âexceptional demandâ and usual sales junk, but that does not explain why they canât give me a date now (already been 6 weeks). They know how many they can make, they know how many orders they have and the order they came in. So simple.
No car is worth waiting the best part of a year for, so off to see what else I can buy, but it wonât be VAG. Audi lose an owner of 12 years to another make as they obviously donât value me or my money. Also would not recommend the Sytner group, as their customer service was pretty lacking too.

That's shocking mate, I thought 4.5 months was bad! Have you tried another Audi dealership? I went to Cambridge (not my local) due to better customer service and they managed to bump me up the queue. Also look at what ex demos are out there if you don't mind not getting your perfect spec, I bet they still have a lot of goodies in them
Yep, been thinking about that. Had a quick look online, and can only find a white one with just about every extra on it. Not paying best part of £40k for a white car! Will try and get Audi UK to tell me if any dealer has one in stock anywhere in the UK. Problem local is they are all part of Sytnar or worse.

Basically ordered the same thing, and roughly same time (1s week in Feb), but down here in Australia, to this day, still waiting to be allocated a build slot, same story for everyone who has ordered an S3 Sedan in Sepang Blue down here.
OK. My car has a steering wheel on the left side. Maybe something to do with that.

Demo car for dealer arrives a week after my car
It was ordered before mine but was delayed due to Estoril color and was changed to sepang. So when two slots opened for sepang, I was lucky to get the first one.Very nice indeed, what colour is that? Larger photos look black but up close looks purple, very nice either way!
