My brother in law has a 2007 a4 1.8t every so often it cuts out when it's ticking over,it then could anything from 10 to 30 seconds to start and will run fine again till next time it happens ???????

Ya he will be getting it scanned just thought it might be a common fault with them. Another thing I noticed when driving it was it holds the revs between gear changes I read somewhere about a clutch switch what's the story with that?
