Finally got round to fitting my genuine audi handsfree. All was good when i tested 2 weeks ago. Plugged it all in properly yesterday . And could not see it for ages.. Messed around took ou and back in and then searched when ignition was off and it was found..
Hooked up my wifes phone then mine switching between the two no problems.
Drove to work this morning turned on my Bluetooth and nothing cant see it again. what gives any pointers of where to start..

I'm useless with these things and have absolutely no idea what your talking about, but sounds like it could just be a faulty/loose connection somewhere along the line.

dogdy can wire maybe, i had this with my rns, it kept going on and off or not coming on

Any one got a wiring diagram. I got one of those pure made ones off eBay so don't know which wire does what

if you take the head unit out there will be a diagrom on top of it, i think its d9 and d10 the can wires but i could be talking crap. when i got my rns fitted the guy must of used a cheap adaptor as i had two basicly solder each wire togeather as the can wires were that loose the thing kept going on and off

Finally got round to having another look at this. Dont seem to be able to communicate with the radio either should i be able to . Thats with the old adapter. Should i be able to hook a voltmeter upto the can wires ?

Won't do you any good - they carry high speed data signals which won't mean anything to a voltmeter.

The other thing to remember is that on the B6/B7 the diagnostics to the BT module and radio/sat-nav use the K-line (actually the K2/L line) and not the CAN bus.

gonna have another crack at this at weekend
im following this
