hi all
i have black 2007 a3 and useing autoglym extra gloss,i have machine polish after claying and gave it 2 coats of super resin polish and 2 coats autoglym extra gloss,2 weeks later after washing a bird liked to leave me a pressie on my bonnet,it must of only been on there a few hrs and it has burnt through the lot and in to my paint.
I Allso have lots of stone chips,is there any good polish that will darken the chips and a good top coat, so when that bird comes back to leave his make is wont burn through so i dont have to machine it out.
Wot i can make out is autoglym is not that good lol,

I use Angelwax Dark Angel on mine and it gives a fantasic wet look. If you have a word with Mark on here he can sort you out. I believe his username is Brodster, but somebody please correct me if im wrong

No mate your dead right.....lol. Yep as stated Dark Angel is a fantastic wax for darker cars.......has shown amazing results on reds too but it will do exactly what your after on your bonnet. I have it in both 100ml (£25) and 200ml pots (£35) If you want a pot please let me know. Mark

Bigslippy car looks great!

But at £130 a pot for Auto Finesse Desire I would much prefer Angelwax desirable at £60! and lets face it in my eyes Auto Finesse have lost faith after the 20 production run that Desire was meant to be and Angelwax was the dude making the limited run for them!

OP if it was me I would just aim at getting the bird bomb off ASAP as theres not a wax in the world that would with stand acid baked bird bomb if left on the car to long! short while yes deffo helps, but the art is finding it and getting it off a quickly and safely as possible

HTH!

£120 a pot , have you actually had both waxes to do a true comparison of looks, ease of use , durability etc?

The 20 run , not sure where you got that from, it was such a huge success and demand dictated that it should carry on

I speak from experience from my own car ( seagulls frequently leave me gifts and I don't rush to clear if off )and other cars that I have used Desire on , owners have commented that the bird bombs don't stick or leave a mark. We could be lucky, who knows.

I for one can't comment on Angelwax as I have never used it , so therefore I won't judge it's merits or otherwise,,, OP asked a question , I gave my thoughts from my experience... nothing else

As for the dude who made Desire ? has that been made public knowledge or just mischief making. I don't know or care .. It works very well for me:thumbsup:

Why on gods earth would I do a comparison on 2 of the same wax’s lol!

I will break it down for you, there was a bespoke order of a LIMITED run on detailing world that was meant to be limited to just 20 pots! I know because my friend has one!

They were indeed made by Angelwax for auto finesse they were very good and auto finesse then went and had it out sourced and made it for public sale that.... 1) upset the people that indeed thought that they was getting something a bit Special only being 20 pot run….. 2) very underhand using someone i.e. Angelwax to make them the wax then when it was a success went else were to have it made, I lost all respect for them.

To be honest you should really know this already if you done your homework and considering you own it! yes its common knowledge lol!!!!

At £120 a pot its against some big boys swissvax Shield, Zymol Glasur, Definitive durus, ostendo hybrid and of course Angelwax desirable (the clues in the name) some things are just more desirable :lmfao:

But like you said if your happy paying £120 a pot then good for you lol!
